im so so grateful for what debomitra is doing in the field of padavali kirtan and dance .

previously i had been lamenting about the slow death of padavali kirtan in bengal . after chhabi bandopadhyay there has not been any influential and authentic kirtaniyaa . kirtan gharanas like manoharshahi and garanhatis hardly exist anymore .

now im thinking that creative genuises like debamitra would help to keep the tradition alive even in years to come .
