I applaud Mike D'Antoni for telling Marbury to stay away. Marbury showed wat a bitch he was last year when he quit on the entire team and took a flight home when the team was in Phoenix. He is nothing but a cancer in the lockeroom and everywhere he goes success NEVER follows. Wat has Stephon Marbury done in the playoffs??? D'Antoni went to every player before the season started and all of them said they dont want Marbury. The coach then took proper action and stuck up for his players.

I guess buy tix to see your team play the Lakers, lol. I cant feel for the guy at all and it would be in the Knicks favor for him too play because they could ve showcased him as trade bait. D'Antoni thought felt he would lose the locker room if he let him play so he made the tough but right decision for the TEAM. Steph has never been bout the team and hes rightfully paying the price(quite handsomely at 20 plus mil) so he has to deal with it.

I blame the impatient new york fans every year the knicks trying some desperation move to try and keep them happy. I think Marbury still has alot left in em now healthy and hungry this could possibly be his best season in years. Maybe a new start is just what he needs cuz hes 31 and the ny knicks are gettin better but far away from championship status i ll be a fan no matter what i just want him to end his career taking respect from the press who doubt

Marbury gets alot of blame for alot of shit lol he even gets blamed for last year when he only played in 20 sumthin games he still gets called selfish when he willingly sacrificed his career averages to dump the ball down in the post to curry like isiah wanted but this team was on the right path they were headed for the playoffs in 06 then like 4 out of the five starters went down with injury including crawford for like the rest of the season.

Wow there buddy Nash, Dirk, and Finley (Big 3) took the Mavs to the WCF. Everything else I agree I am a huge Knicks fan and I am hoping Marbury gets and attitude readjustment and comes back stoked to prove his doubters wrong. Stephon is sick when he wants to be, which is a shame cause he has a world of talent and like I said hopefully he is hungry to turn this downward spiral of a franchise around in turn change his image in the NBA as well.

he took teams that sucked to the playoffs.ppl compare him and Nash and him an Kidd like he's not in the same convo but look @ all those years Nash Had great players around him in Dallas and they didnt do jack shit.He played on phx but ppl forget Amare was just a rookie.His game was polished by the time Nash got there.He was nothng more than a dunker when marbury was there

lets get this straight the t wolves didnt make the playoffs until he got their so they werent that good they havent been in the playoffs for like 10 yrs until he got their and when step got to phx he took them to the playoffs they needed another scorer besides him and the matrix when step got to nj they were trash he had no team and i dare you to say they were good you can knock step all you want but if you look at the teams history and the players you tell me what he had to work with

Quit twisting stats and revolving around stats to claim how great a player is. Magic Johnson had 19.5 ppg and 12.3 assists per game and is 10x the player and 100x the leader Starbury will ever be.
Starbury had his opportunity to be a player like Chris Paul, but he blew it and will be regarded in history as a team breaker. EVERY TEAM HE HAS BEEN ON WERE A BETTER TEAM PRIOR TO HIS ARRIVAL. Now suck that you stupid starbury fans. Stick to watching And One and be a failure for the rest of your life

I definitely don't doubt Marbury with his ego and attitude aside can be a top notch point guard in the league. He can shoot, drive, and pass, but he's just too concerned with himself instead of winning. He wants to be so much like Jordan, but Jordan put winning before everything. Marbury doesn't have that work ethic and he doesn't know how to make his teammates better.
Look what happened in Minnesota. He didn't want to play with KG because KG was the man. Jordan would have embraced KG.

Starbury still has the potential to be the very best only if he wanted to. His team chemistry is poor but his skills are not.
Maybe after this year, Marbury will be tradd and it'll rejuvenate him b/c he can be the best in the game.
He's gotta work on his attitude and not be a drama king!

lebron can have better stats than marbury put marbury will take lebron ass to school just like he did yao ming, lebron don't got the handles like marbury, and no doubt when he played for the nets he was like 10 times more exciting to watch than lebron (i personally don't find lebron exiciting to watch, melo, kobe, carter, and the rest is a different story). its all thomas fault he isn't trying as hard as he used too.
