Look my 13 GRID videos, i played with 2 Asus EAH 4870x2, now i play with Asus EAH 5870. Fraps don't give me this frame drop... I record in half size, then convert to 640x400 with AVS. I play with Vsync on, 1920x1200, game max out and CCC too. With 5870 I useSupersampling AA 4X instead of 8X used with 2 4870x2.

maybe your ram and processor are bottle necking you, not quite sure but 2.4ghz could be a bottle neck even on a quad core, but dont take my word for it. also do you have AA and AF on? that could also be it, it depends alot. anyway man i just played this game myself and i got to say it SUCKS jesus christ man i couldnt even brake while turning a corner, the thing just as someone else puts it "turns into a tank on rails" the handling is very horrible.

Your processor, ram and your OS are the reason why it's limiting your frame rate. The Phenom II's are more capable. Upgrading to 4GB ram will help and make sure its a fast ram. A 1066 MHz ram will help. Use a 64 bit OS to maximize RAM capacity.

i think you will be able to play it at 1440/960 and at high settings.

my advice is try it without AA and then slowly ramp it up if the fps is at 40 or above.

lol, anything other than in game anti aliasing will screw up the graphics in this game. If your using Catalyst's custom AA, turn it off when playing GRID. This game is crazy, im using my sh**ty old 3870, and I still get around 32-40 fps on maxed out settings, 8xAA, 1920x1080. I wonder how it will perform once the 5870s come out. Any Idea when teh 5000 series is gonna come out? U think the 5870 is gonna be >$400?

haha i'm with rayj on this one. yes i can see what your saying about the unrealistic physics, but i'm pretty sure what rayj is trying to say is that GRID is the most overall all around fun. gran turismo has realistic physics, but the fun factor isn't as high as GRID. and besides, even if GRIDS graphics arent OMMGGGG not as good as gran turismos doesn't mean they aren't good. the fun factor levels that out.

ok, i only played the demo and i must admit tried to beat the euro challenge. i came up with a 1.17.30 after 4 hours of play. :)) but honestly, the physics - at least in the demo - are hilarious!! only left breaking assistance on and the car controls very much like an arcade.

what are you talking about? you can easily tell from the footage, that grid has unrealistic physics. it is close to impossible to spin your car with all driving aids off. that is just unrealistic. are arcade if you will.

and yes, gt5p could be called a demo, but the cars already look the same, actually better - with regards to the interior - than in grid.

i admit, the campaign might be more interesting, has more cars, but wait till the full version. xD

Yeah, that 1080P is soooo amazing and such new technology. I can't even believe we're in those resolutions now. 1080p can't even come close to 1900x1200 you dumbass. Not to mention the additional filters and such PC gamers can add. PC > Console, and it will always be like that.

And the pc version does look at least 2 times better than 360/ps3 games because the consoles cant take high or ultra high graphics
