  • This LP, belongs in Hall of Fame...(B efore alot of others, fer-sure!) Country Boy, & Pete Might Spook the Horses...Just absolute BRILLIANCE ! ! !

  • Check our his version with Ricky Skaggs, from American Music Shop.

  • Love it!!

  • What show is this from?

  • @p0llenp0ny

This is from the late german beat.club. In the early 1970s the german broadcast could afford to give airplay to much live-musicians! Very experimental...

  • Somehow not as good as Chas Hodges later band, who could forget'Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit' or 'gercha'???

  • Saw these at Sheffield city hall in the early 70s. The set was brilliant, but it was the encore that got the whole place on its feet. They lined their shoes up on the stage, knelt on them and sang "hi ho hi ho its off to work we go". Never laughed so much in my life. Unforgetable

  • Didn't realise Albert Lee sang as well as played guitar - and what guitar skills! Brilliant stuff. Thanks.

  • Just found this, thanks for posting. Saw this group early 70s in Edinburgh they were support to Deep Purple, amazed by Albert Lee's playing. I thought Alvin was fast...

  • i use to call that song... "the never ending song" because of the great guitar play.

  • Man this MotherF'er plays fast!

  • Here's one for inspiration; thanks to Albert and the rest of these great guys!!

  • Here's one for inspiration

  • What an interesting set up hear. Hippy Psychadelic band complete with funky bankground and this guy playing straight country to a little stunted groove. This is very interesting and after you pick your mouse up off the floor it's really good. You can hear one of those guys going "Hey mate....are we playing' rock?"

  • The 70's, nothing like nothing ever will be. Muso's had almost complete freedom to create and as a result most of them became superb musos. Have a listen to bands like Pink Floyd or Camel with their Progressive rock, or Emerson Lake and Palmer. Todays music?? Well if I can't think of anytjing nice to say....

  • Very cool - I never heard the original version before. That Albert Lee is some hot player!

  • @ronbo11 Who is ALBERT LEE!!!??? Isnt it ALVIN LEE????

  • @vicpur Alvin Lee played 10 years after

  • @vicpur xsellsbrod is correct. Alvin Lee played in 10 Years After, Albert Lee played with this band, Emmylou Harris' band, Eric Clapton's band and too many sessions to mention. Bruce Lee is not related, but he could kick the asses of both the others before he passed away (but not on guitar - on numchucks or bare knuckled).

  • @ronbo11 Sorry about my mistake. BUT would any of them be related to Lee Marvin by any chance? If so would any of them of been born under a wandering star?

By the way I knew none of em was related to Bruce because he was asian. None of these guys look asian.

  • @vicpur Nah, Albert Lee is an English country guitarist; he won Country Guitar picker of the year for 5 consecutive years. He did 6 albums with EmmyLou Harris as part of her Hot Band. He's played with The Crickets, in Chris Farlowe's Thunderbirds, 10 years with Eric Clapton and was partly responsible for the Everly Brothers gig at the Royal Albert Hall. He's been around 50 years a performer. Alvin Lee is a fretboard abusing rock guitarist.

  • @vicpur Who's Albert Lee?? You're missing out.

  • @p0llenp0ny Sorry!! Meant Alvin.

  • good stuff rickey skaggs would be proud..[haha] forgot about this version..thanks

  • the good old beat club :-)

very nice thank you and 5 stars

  • Hey - I want my drummer back !

  • Those were the days Bernie..Pete G left to join HH & F..when Daniel S managed them then before Record Company interference!! ;-)

  • Great stuff. I saw "Heads, Hands and Feet" at the Kirklevington Country Club near Yarm, on Teesside years ago. Great band with multi-talented musicians.

  • fuck yeah

  • Psychedelic country at its best from a stripped down Heads Hands & Feet. Albert is the real god of guitar.

Interesting to see a serious Chas Hodges (of Chas & Dave) on bass and I always loved Pete Gavin's drumming.

  • More like real country with a psychedelic background. This is the real stuff. ;-)

  • Amazing
