@officialbabyloca Yes Parrots are very smart and some species such as The African Grey seen here are capable of cognitive thought processes. HOWEVER getting a parrot simply because you would think it funny that they "talk" is NOT a reason to own one. Please research as much as you can before undertaking such a lifelong responsibility as many species of parrots live upwards of 30-90 years with good diets. Also be aware that each parrot is an individual even amongst its species and some NEVER talk

This is what many people do not understand and is the reason many macaws, amazons, greys and other parrots end up in rescues. Until U do some very hard research and thinking I would advise against it.

There is no such thing as a regular parrot. There are many different types of parrots. I have OZZY who is an African Grey(Amazon). I have a Blue and Gold Mcaaw and I have a Mulucan Cockatoo. The Mulucan is the largest of the Cockatoo parrot family. The largest parrot is in the Mcaaw family.
