I don't understand why they make it a competition, It's not even the same style and the jar would definitely take longer and has alot of detail. The portrait is just using grays black and white, which is relatively faster to complete. Both pieces are good.

You must allow the tattoo to lose its ''sharpness '' over time.

Tattooist should execute a tattoo bearing in mind thats its going to be there forever.

Unfortunately most tattooist these days do not look at the longevity of the tattoo. As long as it looks good now, bugger what it looks like in a few years.
