Okay so Skype is only available through Verizon because the call to call feature requires a carrier to enable the feature because it wouldn't work through mobile internet. But I don't see why they can't make a complete separate program for IMing only for all Blackberry phones. Pathetic.

@daveycrazy Ye but when u get that app IM+ it will cost u about 30 $. It is free to get it from the official Skype website. (Only if ur BlackBerry can have Skype... Check them out :) )

I bought the 9650 Blackberry because it had Skype on it. I didnt know that video calling was impossible. So dont worry if you cant download it! A regular cell phone call will suffice. Do NOT get Skype Mobile if your looking to make video calls like Skype does on your camera enabled pc at home. It doenst work that way. A big disappointment for me. There is no front side camera on a blackberry 9650. Not yet anyways.

So I'm on Verizon, with my BlackBerry Curve 8330, and download the app. But then I can't run it because the error tells me "Skype mobile can only be used on Verizon Wireless phones." My only option is "Close".

Did Verizon really just FORGET to that they just bought Alltel, and that this is now hardware of theirs that needs to be included??
