  • I think they used the Prodigy in Keep You by Class Actress, and it sounds fantastic

  • Anyone want to trade one of these for my rhodes 73?

  • 1:00 you doing Replicas intro?

    Awesome!

  • nice funk chops did you take lessons?

  • @lucadepu Nope, I wish I did though, maybe then I'd be able to do more than just mess around in a minor pentatonic scale :P

  • @EnvelopeGenerator even the hand placement is decently reminiscent of piano lessons, i mean it's the proper finger placement and all. and the C minor blues noodling is pretty sweet. maybe after all you could buy a fender rhodes and practice on that, it's probably cheaper than a good sounding piano

  • For the money do you think its worth it to go with a Model D or Old School Minimoog, or will The Prodigy do as well for the 2'000 or whatever it is less?

  • I hear bits and pieces of a lot of songs.

  • 6:10 The Social Network

  • Starting with Bladerunner...it's the only way to go :)

  • I have a question concerning the filter: did you have something repaired? It seems that the self oscillating resonance is much louder and has a wider range that at my moog prodigy.

  • @panulli4 The only thing I repaired was the dodgy keyboard contacts, everything else was in unbelievably great condition. I don't know what the previous owners might have done, though. What version is your Prodigy, does it have the CV/gate inputs at the back?

  • @EnvelopeGenerator mine is the later version with the CV/Gate/Sync in/... inputs on the back. which version is yours?

  • @panulli4 A very early version without the CV/gate inputs, but the previous owner had retrofitted CV, gate and filter inputs. Maybe the different versions explains the filter differences?

  • @EnvelopeGenerator does the self-oscillating resonance at your prodigy fade away as you turn the cut of frequence down?

  • @panulli4 You could check the capacitators in the ladder filter. Could be that they are not in best condition. But in fact I think it's just a difference in production. I would email Moog Music. They are usually really helpful and tell you what to do.

  • what scale do you keep playing for your examples?

  • The trick you do at 3:42 with the pitch wheel controlling the 2nd oscillator, can that be done with the Minimoog? Does anybody know? Sounds amazing! Maybe a better question is "is there anything this can do that the Mini can't do?

    Excellent, excellent video, BTW.

  • @fooloof As far as I'm aware, the original Minimoog Model D doesn't have oscillator sync, but the newer Minimoog Voyagers do. Other than that, the Prodigy isn't that different, except the Model D as a larger keybed, 6 different waveforms, a noise generator, external audio in, the third oscillator can be switched to an LFO, and it costs three grand more.

OK, maybe they are a bit different.

  • May I kindly ask if you stopped making music or can we expect further videos?

  • @altraz2k Don't worry, more videos are on the way... and possibly an album!

  • at 5:02 the sound me makes sound like the start to morgenspaziergang by kraftwerk

  • I heard The Group "Prodigy" actually named the group after the Synth machine they used to create the music, wonder if it was this!

    : O

  • @MrGuvEuroman Indeed they did, and this is the first synth Liam Howlett owned, so he named the band after it!

  • I'm sure I will thanks! Wanted one of these years ago but my student grant (yes, there was such a thing then) would not permit.

What do you reckon to my idea of you and your chums doing a cover of Killing Joke - Requiem?

  • It's mine, all mine, I tell you, muhahahahah.

  • @tonticule Congratulations, I hope you love it!

  • @EnvelopeGenerator Can you make a demo of the juno 6?

  • i cant believe youre selling this!

  • I hope you dont stop making music and posting videos of them.

  • id buy it if i could

  • Wish I had the money to give it a good home

  • selling ... but why ?

  • @09fod I'm moving to another country and I can't take all my gear, so I'm selling some of it off.

  • @EnvelopeGenerator shame a moog in that condition will go up in value : (

  • @09fod I know, it's a real shame - I love it to bits, but I have no choice unfortunately :(

  • @EnvelopeGenerator What country are you moving to?

  • @GV14982 Back to my roots in Ireland!

  • @EnvelopeGenerator wait... were you born/did you live your early years in ireland, or do you just mean your parents come from ireland or what? because i was born/lived in scotland till i was 6 moved down to england, and lost my scottish accent. shit sucks. just wondering if that happened to you, taking in mind you also have an english accent.

  • @rabbitspliff Nah, I was born in the UK as was my dad, but both of his parents are Irish (which I suppose makes me half Irish)?
