  • Great song

  • Brilliant ┈━==≡≡≡∎∎°∴~ ♪ ♫

  • Love this song <3

  • Love the album, and this song is one of the most underated of the 80s, pure class.

  • This album is one reason I listen to talk radio. Very, very few musicians or producers today are on this level.

  • sounds really french.. cant describe why though, maybe its the sounds

  • "Adventures In Modern Recording" was one of the best albums of the 80's for sure. Sadly it passed most people by.

  • What a nice and different song. very different and so good, Listen! variety. original.

Ahhh. thanks and nice selection of pictures. interesting

  • Extraordinary piece of music - brings back lovely memories.

  • this is a work of brilliance - for me it will be the defining song of this summer.

  • so rare, so cool

  • @arthurmex

You Betcha, one of the best musicaly produced albums ever

  • truly awesome, masterclass production.. 5stars..

  • hey trevor, you did it right.

  • This song is just fantastic.

  • MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

This album is finally being re-released on February 15th 2010 by Salvo Records and it will contain 10 Bonus Tracks!

This is a glorious day for us Buggles Fans considering a copy of this album has sold for as much as 300 bucks!

Now the price will be back down to regular and it will have 10 bonus tracks including a song called "Videotech" So grab the album while you can before it is gone once again...this time forever.

  • @Felixstryker Hooray!

  • I'm buying one as I post this

  • Inspired by J G Ballard's short stories.

  • Ha ha!! Just realized the hole in my record looks kind of like the hole in the glasses on the vinyl cover.... ;-)

  • Wow, it's amazing to rediscover this album!

I used to love the buggles when I was a teenager! I have the vinyl still but can't listen to the first song on each side due to the fact that very early on I dropped the record and it just broke in one spot - a round hole appeared where the first track is..... ;-)

  • they are genius

  • Have the vinlyls still :D, so glad that i still have them, bought them in the 80s :D

  • Yeah, my story with this album is that in about 1988 my dad bought 2 big boxes of records at a garage sale. This album happened to be in the box still in its original packaging. I took the record out and played it for the first time that day and Loved it. I was around 8 years old and was infactuated with the album LOL.

Anyhow Klaskatt.....Hold on to them records because they are rare collectors items. It has been out of print since 2001.

  • Well, I just ordered this LP, for only £7! Import from France.

  • I am addicted to the 80s music...

it's like...doesn't matter if the damned song is "good" or "bad"...

    I WILL like it...

  • Saw the Drama tour years ago @ MSG in NYC - I was just a kid...It sticks in my head to this day. Now I'm 41 - time flies...I had this on vinyl & lost it years ago. Had I known it what such a bitch to regain, I would have kept it safer!!! Oh well..Thanks for the posting, the web rules!!!!!!! Jon Anderson was very cool & a vanguard, but I've seen both & this version of the band was really way ahead of the times!!!!!

  • You lucky son of a bitch

  • I have GOT to find the CD for this. One of my alltime favorite LPs. Had it on vinyl, and haven't seen it since, figuring it would appear on CD. DAMNED GREAT LP!

  • Well, you can find it on CD but it is very expensive.

About 12 years ago it was going for around $65 dollars. Today I heard from another comment posted here that it can sell for up to a few hundred dollars.

  • I bought both of their CDs(Age of Plastic and Adv in Modern Recording) from Japan. They were both in the $25 range back then, but they might be out of print, which would make them expensive as hell.

Gotta admit, some great music on them!

(You should also check out the Android Sisters if you like this kind of music)

  • I have it on CD. It is a Japanese import under the Jimco label (Japanese writing all over it and liner notes are all Japanese.)

Mint condition too! But I can't really grasp the "few hundred dollars" value... it's just a CD gosh darn it!

  • Thanks for the info. As much as I love this LP, I would never pay such an exhorbetent (sp?) price for it. Especially since the LP I had was a promo copy that I paid nothing for. I'm sure there is a used record store that has it on vinyl, and if/when I find it, I'll convert it to CD. For my own personal use, that is.

  • it actually sounds a lot like "astroboy (And The Proles On Parade)"

  • I just recived this LP in the mail

  • together with "the plastic age" one of the very best albums of the eighties, of my youth.

  • Surely true! Unforgettable!

    Sharing the same feelings.

  • Awesome. :)

  • Thanks...Nobody had any of this stuff posted on Youtube, so I posted the entire album on here. It is there best album, way ahead of its time. As a kid I remember listening to this album on Vinyl many many times over.

  • Nice work Felixstryker.

  • Thanks...It is one of my favorite albums of all time.

  • This is possibly the best song from a stunningly recorded album. And compliments to whom put the visual bits with it in the video above.

  • Thanks

  • have both their vinyl, I plan to put them on my wall

  • Hey my friend..I have this entire album on vinyl and CD. Is it worth a fortune or just chump change??? Let me knowz???

  • Its worth £300 pound, vynal worth £672!! You Rich person!

  • Are you serious? I have a vinyl copy still in shrink wrap. Want to make an offer before it goes to e-bay?

  • Well do your research on it before you put it on E-bay.

It is worth a shit load of money considering it has not even been opened.

  • i had adventures in modern recording on vinyl oh so many years ago... would die for the cd!!! just love this stuff!!!

  • Heh. I've had this CD for ages, had the record too when it was on Carrere. An ex-co-worker had the CD too, it was like we were in a special club.

  • Recently got this album in a box of cassettes from a friend, I love it. Thanks for posting this!

  • I've been playing "Adventures in Modern Recording" all week on the car CD, great to find this clip here. Absolute classic album.

  • Well that CD is worth alot of money A coupel of Hundred Dollars Actually.

  • Good one, subtle guys...

  • Trevor's affiliation with the members of Yes was really showing in this track.

  • the Buggles are a great band.

  • Hey Felixstryker, thank you so much for posting this beautiful song!!

  • yeahHHH!!!! brilliant music! missed this so much!

  • Hey Shutterdog, this is really a beautiful song. It brings back such memories, huh? I love it!!
