he was thrown off by the smooth call on his raise...why would you smooth call a raise with a draw on the flop...doesnt make sense...I would have thought I was in a bad spot too with the overpair
forget about body language reads, I think he based it on a betting pattern read. He raised to 2200, Anthill went with, K10 raised, Daniel Reraised to 9300?!. Anthill again went with - where he'd have probably thrown away 22. Anthill then called a big bet on the flop 10300, I think, where Daniel was betting to prevent him drawing with a big A. At that point Daniel knew he was behind and he wasn't drawing with 57 as the preflop action should have sent them into the muck. leaving only 44 or 66
it was a good read but a fairly obvious one. Unfortunately you can't watch the hands preceding this one. I have a feeling ole Tex with 2 7 had been betting stupid a while. Calling a 2 7 (even suited) when first to act is not a smart move. Then he even called a raise on it to just see the flop. He would've been better served to bluff the amount he eventually called. Probably K T would've right there. 2 7 just should not had been there & Daniel already that guy was a minnow.
A lot of respect to daniel, another great read. but in thase case.. antill gave some things away with his body language and betting a little to obvious.
@florisiznogood I agree. Unfortunately, we can't see the hands preceding this one. Ole Tex had to be betting stupid all day since he even called a raise (let alone called the bet) in the first position with 2 7 just to see a flop. The tell came when Daniel raised Tex's bet after the flop. I believe the pot was 6400 at the flop. Tex raised it 2800 ; making it 9200. Daniel then raised another 10,300, a slightly more than pot size raise. He was trying to take the pot right then & there.
it is a combination of betting pattern and body language

You can't guess what the read is since it was based off previous experience with that player that we can't see in this video.
