hey dale I was having some trouble with my comp a few days ago.. due to what i think might of been a virus well needless to say i got rid of the virus but my comp is telling me for firefox that its refusing connections.. now ive tried what you told me an when i click "home" it seems like it frezes up like its trying to load it but still dont work. got any ideas?

@legolasgreenleaff This applies for all recent versions of Internet Explorer or most any other browser for that matter. The exact steps may vary, but the gist of this fix is to find the proxy server settings and to disable them. Most people do not use customized proxy server settings, and those who do are quite familiar with these settings. My 2 cents was to reverse the bogus proxy server settings that get changed from a malware infection.

@kambalu It is totally OK to leave Proxy Settings as "No Proxy". Most people do not use proxy settings anyway, and the ones that do have to know exactly what to type in meaning that they would already know what was going on. Its not gonna affect anything...
