It is quite amusing that the right is making a spectacle out of Obama's speech to school children, when every president (republican especially included) has made speeches to school children. Some monumentally more politically motivated and controversial then Obama could hope for.

It is sad how un-American this video is.

I think it is the study guide that was put forward, then withdrawn that really set people off. I know that people on the left, being more fair, and having a better feeling of live and let live, they would not mind at all if Bush's people proposed such a study guide. People on the right are just all "uptight" about overt efforts by publicly funded educational institutions ran mostly by folks left of center directly trying to indoctrinate their children.
