@lindseybear11 the foundation is just gone in this place ive seen picture that my my friends have taken and there's a good chance that if you and your dad go into this place you will get seriously hurt and yes there are lots of druggies that go into this place in get high also your not allowed to go in unless you contact Tim Kinnear and get his permission

It's too bad that the Fuller Warren reconstruction project didn't extend the bridge elevation past the school. That would have reconnected the campus to the park. They also put a stupid retention pond under the bridge, instead of restoring one of Riverside Park's duck ponds. Someday, Annie Lytle, someday...
The city of Jacksonville is poor, our school system makes more and more cuts every year. We cannot afford to do any thing with schools or restoration ect. The school is cut off by two high ways now, it's hard to get there by car. The only way is by foot now. But I have to say, it's beautiful. Spiritual cleansing is a very small part of restoring this building. Just the cost alone of renovating the building will be astronomical. I plan on driving down to the building summer of this year, I live in GA, but I would love to see what this building has become, and to see if these stories of this place being haunted are true, seeing as how I'm clairvoyant.
I dont mind the graffiti.. Paint is easy to remove, I just dont like people going in and causing so much damage to it like breaking in and sludge hammering everything.. I hate people who do that

I stopped believing the "Hauntings" a long time ago. No kids died there, But a hobo did a decade ago due to natural causes.. he was to old.

The fact that people go in there to destory it is awful, and it's a shame that the school has to put up with that. So good luck with your cause. I agree, the school should be restored, however it would take so much money to restore it. The school inside is a dangerous place, because of the asbestos which is everywhere, plus the amount of damage that has been caused over the last thirty some odd years that it has been left to rot. It is privately owned therefore you would have to talk to the company about restoring it. The fact that it is so close to the highway also plays a major part in your effort to convince them to take the time..
okay i been in this school for the past 2 nights and it is SO fun !! we took pictures and there were orbes in the pictures and it creeped us out but the first night we was in this guy that was with us and he freakin got grabed by something while we were sitting in the dark !and it scared us all
The school is a perfect monument for jacksonville. I like the way its biult even though i never went inside with my friend gavin that night i discovered it. I stayed in the backyard until he came back out. But i never been inside the school.. I hope one day i will =)

@randomwebshow94 Condos are not going to placed in there. That plan fell years ago. Tarpon VII owns the school now and we are still helping it. They have no intention of demolitioning the school, but selling it to a permanent owner who will fix it up. The place can be MORE than just condos. Who would want to live in a place where a hideous highway blocks the view of Riverside park?
