it's good to see an intelligent automatic transmission. it might actually be drivable. it was holding a single gear in the turns, and even found the right gear before the turn. very impressive.
GM officially announced today that the price is $59,995 and includes almost all 'options' on the regular CTS as standard including nav, bose, hard drive, xm, etc. Compare this to the M5 which starts at 85k, comparably equipped to the base CTS-V is 90k, and doesn't perform as well either. Oh, the CTS-V's interior is way nicer than the M5 IMO, too... and I say this as a BMW 335i owner so I'm not being biased. It really is a best in class interior. Good job and good luck to Caddy with this car!
of course, some engineer at cadillac might be releasing off the market the chip that has all the mappings for 200mph+.
my defunct 1993 cadillac sts had a block for 140mph; keeping the accelerator floored for the following 3 to 4 minutes though, the block would disable itself, and had the courage to project the car up to 170mph (measured with a motorcycle following me) and then release for fear the tires would blow, and the windshield would break
