  • I've (still got) a copy of his Outlet LP SOLP 1002 that I obtained over forty years ago (hot off the press). It is one of the (many) things that has convinced me that I could never be even a half-decent fiddle player. Such fabulous musicianship.

  • I've not heard of this singer before, but I like his rendition very much. He sings it sympathetically and without pretentiousness

  • @SuperDonna888 You must not have listened to the clip. There is no singer on it but probably the greatest fiddle player in the world that ever played Irish Trad. Music. R.I.P. Seán.

  • @clarebannerman Good heavens! How is that possible? Am I going mad? I'm sure, that I was commenting on a rendition of the song ''Noreen ''Bawn'' I'm sure there was a man singing...but now there's no video, only an audio track...what's going on? have you changed the video or something?...oh well...I listened to the Audio and I must agree, that's some fantastic fiddle playing and from what I can gather, by a man who is now departed, so I shall say (The Late) Sean McGuire. God rest his soul,..

  • Absolute legend, used to write to me. My brother and I played manys a tune with him. RIP Mac. x

  • Many years ago, I had the honour of playing with Seán on stage. He is a legend and an inspiration to us all and his music lives on in all the people he taught.

  • Another awesome performance. Not taking anything away from the rest of the adults, the kids did a great job too!

  • very great concert and music! thanks!!

  • to get to his stage of playing is the furthest you can go

  • I totally agree

  • What a fantastic video! Really sets the feet tapping. Fair play also to all the other musicians on stage that night. It must have been a great honour for the younger ones to share the stage with the maestro!

    Terry.
