Propaganda political hack film, made the CIA look like Keystone Cops, & made the Wilsons look like kool aid drinking boobs, is this the crap Americans can expect out of the CIA? Her undercover name is her maiden name? wtf? so all female undercover agents code names are their maiden names, please, & this makes any kind of sense to you because? So Wilson was suppose to do a SECRET CIA mission to Niger. What part of SECRET does he not understand? What a joke the CIA & Wilsons are portrayed as.
the saddnest part is the USA still doing the same things. Same lies. But now they tell us "Gaddafi is tyrant" "we must save Libyan citizen" "terrorism" and so on. Nothing change. very very sad.
It's really amazing to see how western diplomacy support and overthrow kings and presidents driven only by their hiden own agendas, and then spit to us by CNN's and BBC's their convenient trues coming out ouf the mouth of manipulated journalists, most of the time half idiots, but many times capable ones.
@snierr big difference, pal. gaddafi IS a tyrant and a terrorist, and the libyan people deserve america's support while they fight to bring him down. add to that, the main and most important difference between the iraq war and what's happening in libya right now -- what's happening in libya was initiated BY the libyan people; it wasn't cooked up by a bunch of warmongers left over from the first bush administration. (can you tell i can't stand people who want to draw parallels between the two?)
@snierr us gov't has been doing this type of stuff since they overthrew the iranian govt in around '53, then renaming The Iran Oil Company the Anglo American Oil Co. Then when Iran kicked the us out in '79, the Iranians are labelled "terrorists." The game is not new at all. It's the american way.
So much things are yet to be cleared, we no longer can take what "said" or what "we're told" as the legitimate truth !! until this day, USA image around the globe has significantly suffered during the bush era of rule. This is a wake up call for everyone, not only the americans as yet so many people we're fooled by their country (UK, Australia....).
I didn't follow the news much at all I sort of remember the ordeal but in my mind it wasn't important due to the static that kind of drowned out a lot of this story. I'm glad this movie was made because I went back and researched this a bit more in depth and it makes me realize that we can't just take what we see as the truth, we need to look at EVERYTHING we see objectively.
Why such an important document doesn't appeal to more than 200 viewers? Aren’t Americans interested in good examples? Or the majority still thinks them as traitors?
Or this is just a dead subject because it is so dam inconvenient?
@Ricaard500 I am also surprised to see (in other comments) that some Americans didn't know about this case. I am not an American, but I find this story and its ending 'wow' amazing. It is a historical event, yet not much represented in the media outside of the USA.
It's a shame cause in my opinion, some 20-30 years ago such public scandal would've been remembered longer. I suppose than many high figures involved would prefer that this whole unpleasant business stays buried and forgotten.
