I am the professor for the class Rachel TAs. She does all she says...and more. Rachel also aced my Environmental Communication class. More importantly, her work was used by Americorps' energy conservation program. Many years ago I was a director of an environmental advocacy group. None of the volunteers or interns had Rachel's combination of skills and maturity. She is even better than she says.

More importantly, in order to accomplish goals one needs to be a great communicator and storyteller. If you can't effectively communicate your message, nothing else matters. I strongly believe Rachel's penchant for filmaking is demonstrative of not only her dedication, but also her ability to convey her message in a thought provoking manner. Rachel is my TA for blogging and podcasting for the environment, and she is great! She is always willing to help out, has a positive attitude and if (which is rare) she does not know the answer to an editing question she is quick to find the answer. Hi, I know Rachel from her her high school days when I was the advisor to the environmental club she started. Really she was the advisor. Rachel is organized , motivated, and independent. I learned to stay out of her way and to help her when I could, usually signing something for administrative purposes. I have seen her interact with students, faculty, and administrators she was excelllent with all these people. Rachel is astounding, you need her.
