  • i know it but im to afraid to ask questions thumbs up if your the same way

  • monotone. snoreeeeeee.

but i learned how to do this so it's okay

  • thumbs up if you have a maths test tomorow

  • T h a n k y o u . <3

  • straight up, thirteen years of my life wasted in school on what i learned in four of these two minute videos.

  • thanks!

  • Wait what If you can't find the GFC In one of the terms after you split the equation?

  • My teacher is a fucking idiot, she spent 3 classes explaining this, which was gay as

Fuck so I dident learn anything, so I searched how to do this and I found this......I learned 3 classes worth of work in 2 min, thank you sir!

  • I believe the answer can still be factored, if I'm wrong please correct me, wouldn't (x^2+4) become (X+2)(X-2), so the complete answer would be (X+2)(X+2)(X-2).

  • your saved my life ... in the exam

  • its easier with calculators just do setup>3>3 and put the numbers and u will find the s.s

  • Oh my gosh..collectively, my teacher has spent about three and a half hours teaching this to my class, and I understood it in two minutes..My brain can't handle the logic! Thanks!!

  • Quite you jerk why are you criticizing him you're obviously on this part of YouTube for a reason yea fool!

  • So can you do this to binomials or trinomials?? Someone answer please:)

  • did i really learn this in 2 minutes. I took 2 classes on this (1 hour 30 minute each) and dint get it. God Bless your soul

  • omg wut.

  • SUCH A BORING PERSON!

  • this would be so much more interesting if he was a cartoon and if he aint have that boring voice

THUNMBS UP soo my algebra class could see ... we kinda see this guy everyday

  • What the fuck does this have to do with farting pandas?

  • thaaaaank you so much :D

  • i have to watch ads to NOT fail my final?!

  • You my friend are THE fucking best. THANK YOU!!!!

  • In Alfred Pennyworth's voice- Some men just want to watch the learn.

  • if it weren't for you i'd be getting an f in math so thank you!! <3

  • Thats logical. He's alone without any fucking student annoying hi's work, that's why he does itso well: no disturbing = better work.

  • Are you Mr. Rogers illegitimate son?

  • Thanks so much it helped a lot !

  • or with horner

  • i sleep in class for a hour and 30mins , come and look @ your for 2mins and learn more shit

  • @kymaster12 Obviously you learn more, you were sleeping in class :/

  • THAT HELPED! thanks(:

  • How he get -2 @ 1:31

  • @steenkypeet because +4 x -2 = -8, which is the term above :)

  • @xxElitezz Thank you good sir!

  • @steenkypeet Because he divided the -8 by 4, giving you -2

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  • you just saved my life! thank you sooooo much!!!!

  • HAY. SCROLL BACK UP AND LEARN.

  • you are so amazing all these teachers make it so complicated and you just helped me so much Thank You sooooo Much !! ^-^

  • I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuu <3 (no homo)

  • so @ 1:49 he means to say "remaining OUTSIDE the parenthesis - yes?

  • Thank you! my teacher makes it all complicated.

  • Much easier way to figure it out then I was taught! Thanks :D

  • what happens if you dont get two of the same???

  • My solution is in the internet... how astounding

  • OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU!!!!!!! REALLY HELPED YOU ARE SO AMAZING

  • Comment removed

  • fuck ma teacher ur better than him lol

  • 1:20 i dont understand why the GCF is 4 and not 4x. because i thought u had to put the largest coefficient that can be divided out WITH the smallest exponent that can be divided out on the outside of the brackets. can someone please explain to me

  • @kryhappy96 Because there is no x in front of the -8.

  • @scrap651 yeah, my teacher just clarified it today. thanks :)

  • @kryhappy96 -because there's no 'x' with that 8... (i'm guessing)

  • Wait, so my teacher could not explain this in a hour and a half class, but you could explain it in a 2 minute video.... god damn

  • i was so lost in class. shoot im about to pass now :D

  • Comment removed

  • thank you for teaching me this!

  • can't wait till I'm done with high School XD. But thanks, this helped me a lot.

  • He's like Jesus but with math

  • you are my fucking savior

  • if only you were my maths teacher...

  • that (x2+4) is a difference of 2 perfect squares right ? can it be factored further into (x+2)(x+2)

  • LOL It took my prof 2 days to try and teach us this... this was much easier

  • As soon as you factor this problem you'll realize " OH SHIT!"

  • but when my teacher teach math it doesn't goes to my mind

  • but i want to learn math

  • even a simplest divide i cannot answer it

  • i never understand math

  • where did you get thae x-2 in the parenthesis...???

  • This guy is so good at teaching

  • This guy is great....:)

  • Thank you so much!!

  • You just replaced my math teacher...

  • thanks

  • I LOVE YOU! IN A MATH WAY!!!

  • did i just learn under 2 minutes?

  • Learned this in under 2 minutes, took my math teacher about 3 class periods to teach and we all were still like " o_0 Huh?"

  • thanks

  • thanks

  • I swear he looks like a grown-version of Freddy from Icarly.

  • @Kedejaasw

    haha i agree !!!!!!!!

  • @Kedejaasw yeaaaah

  • this guy has so much teacher swag

  • thumbs up if you want me to make a rap out of this lesson

  • What if you have a problem where there's not x-2 in both terms. A problem without like terms such as like (x+3) in one term and (x-3) in the other?

  • What if the last two cannot be grouped together? or what if the last 2 are primes and cannot be factored by grouping??

  • @MissOrangeApple

Then you start splitting fields ;) Which you'll get to in/after abstract algebra (after 4 semesters of calculus and a few other courses - where math stops being about numbers)

btw, that only works for polynomials up to degree 4. There is no way to factor a general fifth degree polynomial.

  • For shizzle...

  • Is it normal that i have been replaying this video 8 times and still not getting shit.. ugh alegbra is hard.. fml -.-

  • Oh, this professor is so far off the hizzle. Always wearing obnoxiously bigger clothing than fits him.

  • @MartyMD true dat

  • your better than my teacher..!!! =,=

  • monotone... i hate that

  • Can I bang you please...

  • I was just stuck on a question on my homework and searched this up and it really helped for being stuck at the last second :)

  • OOOOOHHH :O

  • My teacher needs to get lessons from you...

  • Incredible........in....freaking....credible. I want to punch my professor in the face.

  • That isn't complete :). It can be factorised further by using difference of two squares.

The bracket containing the expression (x^2 - 4) is identical to (x+4)(x-4)

Therefore, the full answer is (x-2)(x+4)(x-4)

  • @samuelade Uhm, your math and reading skills both suck. That is clearly an (x^2 + 4). Even if there was a minus, it would factor down to (x + 2)(x - 2). I hope this is a Poe.

  • @pyrocowsgomoo Thanks for the correction. I seriously need to watch out for and avoid those small mistakes.

  • @samuelade thier not both perfect squares, so cant be squared

  • @phinok thanks

  • @samuelade Actually im sorry, not being entirely sure, i meant not being a binomial with perfect squares, it wudnt be squared (again, im sorry)

  • @phinok lol don't worry about it. Thanks again.

  • @samuelade - lol....

  • @es696 What's funny?

  • @samuelade u trying to correct the best math teacher on youtube :P

  • @es696 Oh, yeah, lol

    *embarrassed*

  • CHUCK NORRIS OF MATH arigato for deeming us worthy of your mighty smartfulness.

  • im layin hands on all teachers for this easy ish. soooooooooo disappointed i had to go through so much bad grades for it to be this plain & simple. Smh-_-hmS

  • Apparently I have a test tomorrow that could change my A to a C and this just saved my grade ^^

  • dam, 3 days worth of classes condensed into 2 minutes, this guys amazing!

  • Wait, why is X-squared the greatest common factor for the part where he splits the polynomial?

  • He....just.....literally.....saved.....my.....life. Thank you, whoever thought to put these videos up.

  • This teacher most likely has a Master's Degree in Mathematics or Ph.D, while in the other hand, your middle/high school math teacher most likely only have a Bachelor's Degree which come to the conclusion to why some/most of you say your math teacher sucks. This guy has a great amount of knowledge of math.

  • how much money do they use on dry erease markers??

  • i learn better on google then im my algebra class-_- my math teacher just confuses me

  • I recommend this excellent Math channel: ( Mathmatchpoint ) to everyone who wants to become good at Math (or to someone who is already good at it). He is going to teach you Math the EASY WAY, from the basic to the advanced topics. The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let people know about his videos). Thanks to him, I got 97% on my Math test.

    Go to his channel: Mathmatchpoint

  • holy crap hes doing the same prob i was trying to do lol

  • i learned more from him in 2 minutes, then i did from my math teacher in 3 hours -.-

  • thanks :)))

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

  • Forest Gump can teach math... Who knew?

  • Thanks to this video, I had finally finished my homework.....

  • holy shit that was so fast ,was it even correct ? fuckin-A

  • The king of clear explanation.

  • this vid pwned the education system

  • There is hope for me now! I cant believe I understood this in just two minutes after spending an hour and a half in math class! Now I can do better then barely pass this semester thanks! :)

  • This guy i better then my math prof....You know, the guy i pay tuition too.

  • @ryN45678 same here... my teacher cant teach shit so im stuck on the internet cramming for tomorrows test.

  • @ryN45678 Looks like you should be dissing your English prof. as well.

  • Now that dumb maths teacher at my school can't stop me from passing the quiz!!!victory.

  • I missed ONE class in my Math100B class and was completely lost, facing failing a test because even after staying with my teacher and studying my textbook, I didn't understand a damn thing!

After a few of your videos, I'm still not PERFECT at factoring, but at least I understand the concept now and I don't feel COMPLETELY lost. There is hope for me after all. Thanks.

  • why cant it be that simple in school

  • You have to do this in a math class so you can practice it and in case if you DONT get something, there is someone that you can actually ask and give you 1 on 1 experience.

Please rate this up so people who believe that this is 100% of the time better than math class. It ISNT. This is just good for some review if you dont get it, sometimes.

  • Omgosh! Thanks so much! I have learned and watched so many of these video's and I am just amazed on how much I know now! Should be paying you instead of my teacher! Thanks again!

  • I needed this review. Thanks !!!!!!!!

  • it would make no difference if the (x2+4) is in front instead of (x-2) right?

  • @leesm27 There is no difference. Its just like saying (4)(7) = (7)(4) which both equal 28 even though they are in a different order. The only difference is that there are two terms in each set of parentheses (which just tells you to add the terms in the parenthesis before you multiply, but since there are unknown variables you would just factor). Hope this helps.

  • You're more helpful than my actual teacher. It seems so simple now!

  • I understand!! Thank you so much!

  • awesome! helped a lot

  • helped me! :)

  • oooooooooooooohhhhhhh

  • The education system needs to be updated...

  • how did you figure out that x squared was the GCF at 1:15?

  • @BballNintendo Damn right they do! PUBLIC SCHOOLS SUCK.

  • how do you get ....4 ( x - 2 ), its confusing me, shouldnt it be x - 4

  • @isjimmyagerman The greatest common factor in (4x-8) is 4. in this case, bring the four outside of the parenthesis and divide all of the other numerals by four to get 4(x-2)

  • yo made a mistake. not mathematically but you said something wrong

  • This is so easy! But when my math teacher put up the answers to our homework there were twice as many sets of parentheses. (4 instead of 2 ) So now Idk what to do.

  • I got my first F last semester... Reason why is because i go to public school, where you always have to tranfer your attention from the teacher to a stupid student calling out an answer, before you can even attempt to solve a problem, and when one student gets it, the dumb ass teacher believes the whole class gets it. only 3 kids got A's.

    Mark

    High school -Gr.11

  • @mark9241

It's the same in my math class, the FEW students who do get it always shout out the freaking answer before my teacher can finish explaining the problem then just goes on, assuming we all get it. Ticks me off to no end.

  • @mark9241 And what kills me even more is that when you ask them to stop they do momentarily but then they start right back up again. People have no freaking consideration towards other people anymore :/

  • @GoC OMG you are so right...

  • This guy is way better than my entire colleges math department. I had no idea how to do this until watching this stuff. THanks so much!

  • @DarkFidelity i know right

  • I'm only 10 and I can factor by grouping easily..And I can use AC method but I suck with trail and error.

  • yeah math teachers should have to watch these videos.

  • thank youu!

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooo :D

    my teacher sucks

  • 4 weeks to learn factoring, half an hour on youtube to master it :|

  • thank you I appreciate this video it really helped me

  • it was helpful but did you nw when he moves fast you see a mess up in the video

  • thanks Ben Affleck

  • YES!!!! This guy did in 2 minutes what my teacher took 3 days to teach me us!!!! he saved me from my homework and for that THANK YOU!!!

  • So is xy +12 + 4x + 3y unfactorable? PLEASE say yes. this homework is starting to get ridiculous.

  • @Foyie You can not factor it. Sorry.

  • I think i'm going to pass algebra II now hahah

  • $50 a day to teach me privately.
