is the wavering voice effect a jab at the really poor quality leak that came out that sounded like it was underwater and shitty? or is that just intentional? I'd adore if it was them being cheeky.
such an excellent rendition of southern point. i can imagine the nerves these guys felt when realizing this song was gonna be a bitch to perform live. they dont fuck around though. brilliant dudes.
@ruma17 are you aware of the fact that you have ears?, tabs are for suckers! no offense, i just find it more rewarding when it's learned by ear alone.. try it!
I just can't get in to this band. This is the definitely the closest I've been to thinking they were worth listening to, but still some things about their music drives me crazy. It's cool music, but I think I'd like this band better if they used the vocalist in a different way. The music is some new jazz rock, but the vocals added to that for me make the whole combination sort of random and incoherent.
@ch1215 So being unable to identify the genre of certain songs is the distraction for you? Avoid Beck, Andrew Bird, and so many other eclectic artists then.
is there a bit of distortion or some effect on the backing vocals by the Chrises or is that just this audio? It seems such a shame to put effects on any of these guys' voices as they're all wondrous.
@rasmusholberg He triggers the sample of the triangle sound that plays as he's slowly opening and closing the hats. You see him hit it at 2:05 . He's a genius, controls a lot of the vocal and delay effects live :)
Im pretty sure that it's for the voice effect during the chorus... he sings "you'll never find me now" in the background and it has a cool effect on it.
@BendoGecko I advise you to use your equaliser, every video on youtube has different audio settings get used to it. Not that i don't agree with you, but i have given up hope. ;) On the other hand their is not an absolute good or bad mix in my opinion, there no device that measures it in terms of good and bad, unless it's your brain. It's all quite relative, hence the stupid "this band is better then this band" discussions on youtube. Great playing by the band, excellent performance i think.
@VagueSnake Btw the drums are also insane (in a positive way, didn't know if he could pull it of live. He clearly does however. I would never have come up with those patterns in a song like this, i think it's great.
@VagueSnake Not to forget the drums, i would never have come up with those patterns, it's very creative and quite hard to play (for me;)). Was wondering if he could pull it of live and he obviously does, easily. Great! Voices melodies and chords are great too, i think i just love this band. :)
