  • Nice example of leasure shooting. In old times every hitting of the string against shooter's hand was considered as God's punishment for poor technique of shooting. I tried to count the number of punishments but failed. How may more you need to understand that traditional bows require traditional shooting, not sporting-fun-olympic shooting?

  • @gongjianshou Thank you for your comment. I didn´t know about that punishment that you wrote of, thank you for letting me know about it (altough I´m not a strong believer of God, it´s still interesting to know). Yes, these bows are surely something else than those Olympic-type of bows, and yes, I shoot with this bows just for fun in this video. I´ve decided that I should practise a lot more on my technique, once I get the opportunity to do so. For a start, drawing my full drawlength.

  • Can you tell me where you get your bows?

  • @TheKindwolf Sure. I got the Kassai bow from a company in Finland wich has a site called eastern - archery.com . I got my other bow from a Grozer bows resaler here in Sweden.

  • practice every day... very good! even its cold

  • @schwihi thank you! :)

  • whats your target made of?

  • @tinkaroxy an old silage bale, works very well. :)

  • Hullo Jerry,

please, another thing: the Kassai Wolf II is covered of leather: do you feel sometimes any problem with the moisture or drizzle.

    Many thanks and best regards.

    Stefano

  • @guerrierodelgiaguaro Hello again!

Hm, well, I´ve have had it out when it was raing once or twice, but it wasn´t raining much. The leather got some drops on itself, but it didn´t do anything, it just dissapeared. I try to not shoot with it when the weather is bad, such as raining.

  • @gladgurkan91

    You are very kind colleague!

    :)

  • Very beautiful video! *****from Italy

    :)

  • @guerrierodelgiaguaro Thank you! :) There will quite soon be more of these kind of videos ("winter archery"), since the winter is soon here. This time I will be ready with a better camera and one more bow, tough. :)

  • @gladgurkan91

Hullo Jerry, please, can you tell me how long is this bow and the name of the model (maybe Baranta...)? Well, I would like to buy a bow of that kind. Besides, may I to tell you a thing? When you realese the string, using the forefinger with the middle finger and the ring finger (or just two of them it's the same) do not tear out BUT let the fingers to fall "without life" on your chest. In this way the arrow will not be affected by a wrong direction. (to be continued)

  • @guerrierodelgiaguaro hit here, and thank you for the tips! The bow is about 137 cm long if I don´t remember incorrectly, and the model is a Wolf 2.

  • @gladgurkan91 3d part

than the number of the flying arrows. The number was important during the ancient wars when an arrow into a body even if did not kill the enemy was able to put him out of combat or making him to die for bleeeding. The moderne use od the bow is nearer to the hunting, where it is necessary to hit a vital organ of the beast, otherwise the prey will flee even if taken to a paw: therefore the accuracy is the first thing.

    Best regards with friendship.

    Stefano

  • @guerrierodelgiaguaro Yeah, I already know that, but in the video I´m just shooting for fun and not seriousely, really. :) Anyway, thank you for you advices!

  • @gladgurkan91 2nd part

moving the clasping hand with a wide gesture is beautiful for a cinematic purpose but is not good for hitting the mark: because in this way the arrow suffers of a wrong impulse beginning at his nock. Instead, leaving fall the fingers without forcing permits to the arrow to follow the path chosen by your eyes. I have seen on Youtube a lot of bowmen to realese arrows how if the would make a courtesy but in the target practise of precision is more important the quality

  • @guerrierodelgiaguaro Ok, Thank you for the tip, I´ll try that, but it might be hard since I have been shooting with this style for so long. Oh well, thr main thing is that the arrows hit the target where the should. ;)

  • Wow you have great consistency/ form. Keep up the good work.

  • @pingx600 Thank you! :) Yep, I sure will. I´m currently waiting for a Scythian bow, by

    the way.

  • Great bow! ...And horse :)

  • @kaziklu79 Thank you, I´m glad you like it! Yeah, he´s a nice horse...very intelligent, actually, and very kind....(it´s my dad´s) :)

  • nice shooting!!!!

    greetings from Poland!!!

  • Thank you. I think it went quite well this time, considering the temperature...:)

  • I see you got snow quite the same as we do. Beatiful isin´t it?

Nice horse! Do you ride? Have you tryed horsebackarchery yet? ;)

  • Yes, it´s beatiful :)

Well, I ride sometimes, but not very often.I´m planning to try HBA, when I´ve learned to ride more correctly + learned the horse to not be afraid of the bow and so on. I think it´s me who needs to learn more than the horse need LOL.

The white horse is my dads horse (a lipizanner), he´s riding academic with him.

  • This winter time would be great time to teach the horse not to be afraid of the bow. Just go for it . It is lots of fun! You have couple clubs in Sweden too. Do you know them?

  • Yes, if you mean "Sveriges Beridna Bågskyttar" :)

I´m a member at their forum, are you?

  • No i am not a member but "mountedarcher" is my friend in Youtube.

  • Oh, yes, he is one of the leading HBA archers here in Sweden, and he´s about the same age as I am.

  • All right, he is nice guy and has been supporting me also in this horseback archery.

  • do you use 3555 or 5575?

  • I use 3555. The arrows are 30,5" long from nock to the beginnig of the arrowhead, wich is quite long for me, as you can see. I might cut them shorter, that would make them stiffer in spine too.

  • O_O wow , nice landscape ! all this snow makes me happy !

  • Thanks, yes the landscape gets very beatiful at this time of year.
