  • lovely with Lao Tzu's words ... the original footage is in the film " Among White Clouds" by Edward A Burger and is available to watch for free on youtube... it has 6 parts... enjoy!

  • The student asked where the master might be found, he was told the master was in the hills picking herbs. Cloud hidden, whereabouts unknown.

  • Should you search for "Amongst White Clouds," Parts 1 - 6, you can see this footage, unaltered, and listen to the monk speak.

  • I dont know what enlightenment feels like. But this gives me a sense,,,,, thanks for posting.

  • Sounds like Lao Zi, sounds like dzogchen teaching, sounds like Rumi... The highest realisation is the same, men give it different names. I wish I could hear him in Chinese

  • Sounds like Lao Zi, sounds like dzogchen teaching, sounds like Rumi... The highest realisation is the same, men give it different names.

  • film is Amongst White Clouds

  • does anyone know the name of this Monk ? I would love to listen to more of his wisdom.

    Namaste

  • I watch this whenever I feel fucked over or just plain miserable. It's heals

    every time.

  • This is doctored footage from the film; these are the monk's words. See the film, and you'll know....

  • @shodhin, what is the film you speak of ?

  • can someone tell me which doumentary this is from? He comes in 'amongst white clouds' as well. He's supposed to be very hard to reach, wonder how there are so many videos of him @Zenb0nes

  • Truly a pleasure to just look at this monks face. Excellent footage, very well presented.

  • LOVE AND LIGHT TO SUSAN IN TASMANIA

  • wonderful. thank you for sharing :)

  • ~ NAMASTE ~

  • Beautiful. So much in his eyes.

Esp liked: "He knows to follow, so he is given command."

  • SUBLIME !!!

    AWESOME !!!

Resumen de experiencia de vida y sabiduría ! D

  • che meraviglia!

  • I love the still silence in the end.

  • At about the 3 minute point in this video, the monk resembles the Japanese John Lennon , face painted like a classic Japanese clown in white paint, that I saw in a dream, right after the silent meditation that Yoko called everyone to be in, as a tribute to John. That dream was unforgettable, because it ended with me being washed ashore in an ocean wave onto a sandy beach, when my husband awoke me because he tapped on wood when he saw a blue light over my bed.

  • @LayDeeA3 hmph.... weired.. cool....but weired...

  • @wily4 At least spell it right if u are going to insult someone. Open up your mind to the unknown......this is deep sharing of an intimate nature. Respect due. Thanks.

  • @LayDeeA3 wth.... i wasnt trying to insult u... i really think that it was cool... i mean ive never gone thru sumthing like that, thats why its weired but its also kool at the same time...

  • I found this very powerful, yet very gentle and so full of wisdom. I am a disabled Buddhist who is often bedbound and I use my laptop to watch teachings. I would like to humbly ask permission to copy this just for my own use and contemplation. May I have permission to do so - love and light - Susan in Tasmania, Australia

  • @WishfulfillingJewel I too am disabled. I wish you nothing but the best. Peace, Love Light.

  • Because?

  • what a gift,thanks for sharring

  • Just watched this film last evening. Absolutely amazing and beautiful. It makes me wonder: In what ways are this sort of path naturally expressed in our culture? Who are our "hermit masters"?

  • @Seaboojeej

    They exist everywhere.

  • the video is from an amazing doc called Amongst White Clouds, the quotes are from Laotzu's Tao Te Ching

  • Sounds like Lao Tzu

  • @XuZhangWang Yeah, I was gonna say that. although the guy in the video is buddhist. Buddhist and Taoist have different views on life and death... this seems more like taoism than buddhism to me...

  • @XuZhangWang it's chaung tsu

  • @ushojedi

  • @XuZhangWang Yes, the words are from the Tao Te Ching for the most part. The butterfly dreaming part is from Chuang Tzu/Zhuangzi.

  • He is a hermit, does it matter who he is? how ignorant are you from 1-10? @ffff734

  • @CookyChi Why so rude?

  • To ffff734 do you notice your self as a stick of shit.

  • thank you so much for the great video

  • a stick of shit !

  • adorable

    anybody knows who this is?
