I don't want to spam, but I just wanna help my friends who are now jumping into the music world! If you have time, lend a ear to their composition. I'd like to use this comment page to introduce a wonderful song they have written who long to be viewed by a huge public as you are! So, here's to you the THIRD FLOOR - WORDS OF SILENCE, thank you for giving them a chance!!! By the way, what a GREAT Song!!!!!! Ciao everybody!!!!!
The world is full of refugees They're just like you and just like me But as people we have a choice To end the void with all its force So don't forget or don't pretend It's all the same now in the end It was said in a different life Destroys my days and haunts my nights. In the beginning when we were winning when our smiles were genuine. But now unforgiven the everlasting, everlasting...
The gap that grows between our lives The gap our parents never had Stop those thoughts control your mind Replace the things that you despise Oh you're old I hear you say It doesn't mean that I don't care I don't believe in it any more Pathetic acts for a worthless cause. In the beginning when we were winning when our smiles were genuine. But now unforgiven the everlasting, everlasting.
Man, I love this album. Probably one of my favorite manics albums. I think I appreciate them even more having grown up in Wales. Saving up my pocket money for a month so I could rush to Spiller's records and buy this was so worth it. Then a few years later I found out that the title of the album was from Aneurin Bevan, that big guy on the statue in Queen Street.
saw them last night in fremantle - absolutely fantastic to see such a huge band in a small venue. This accoustic number was the stand out best part of the set
I'm so glad these guys aren't popular here in the states, all those mindless fucks wouldn't get it and would try to trun them into another U2, disregarding the powerful messages in the music and saying "I like this shit, you can dance to it." And then they would continue voting for morons like Obama and Bush.
Great song of guys who tried to be old and deceased like their songwriting partner...but they were "only" 30 when this album was released. Now they are over 40 and trying to be young "boys" again. But that's life!
@billyhigdon start off with the rest of the 'this is my truth, tell me yours album'. then listen to 'everything must go'. then check out 'journal for plague lovers' and when you're done with that one and ready to have your life being changed, give 'the holy bible' a listen ;)
Ok people, what is this song about? People claim that it is about a lost ideal childhood? But in that case, what is the whole "forgiven the everlasting" about?
@borntoend94 Yeah, that's what you would like, but the beatles are the ebst abdn ever and if you disagree is because your musical taste and knowledge is mediocre.
@WiltatKansas I'm younger than you yet I know much more about music than you. I know of lots of bands that make the Beatles look mediocre. John Lennon was a poser and a hypocrite. As a band they had good ideas that had a lot of impact on music, but no more so than a lot of other artists of that era. Lots of bands surpass the Beatles on every level.
@borntoend94 I think The Beatles were geniuses, specially Mr. John Lennon, the other artist were not and are not geniuses, just guitar players and assorted singers. Only computer melody makers and hipped commercial bastard performers, you don't know more than me about anything because i'm fucking brilliant, i can own everyone in every discipline.
@borntoend94 I know your point, and it sucks, you should know that sometimes the new generations don't surpass the past generations, and this is a big example. Now you can play the guitar better than John Lennon, you only need practice becasue you had everything since you were born, but these guys believed in something and they fullfilled their dreams becasue they were really talented and touched by God's finger. That's what i call genius, becasue they made history, the rest didn't make history.
@WiltatKansas I'm not even saying that the music of this generation is better, most music today is bland, mediocre, inept shit; I'm talking about bands of the past that are better than the Beatles. I have much appreciation for "past geniuses", but as far as I'm concerned the Beatles don't fit into that category (apart from George Harrison who was much more intelligent and wasn't a hypocrite or sell out like the rest of them). I bet you couldn't name one pioneer apart from the obvious ones.
@borntoend94 You're underestimating John Lennon and Paul McCarntney just becasue they are the obvious best ever, but they still are the best ever even if you disagree. Bob Dylan was a great one too, but The Beatles were the best.
@borntoend94 Your a dumbass, i'm probably younger than you but without the genius that is the beatles music would not be the same as it is today. There are counless bands that are influenced by the Beatles either directly or indirectly through other bands influenced by them. I am not the biggest beatles fan but to say that there are bands better and more genius than them, i'd deffinately have to disagree with you there.
@mattyb1607 I acknowledged that the Beatles influenced music a lot, but that doesn't mean that there isn't more interesting, exciting music to listen to. Plus, they're not the only important band in history, and they were heavily influenced themselves by other artists of that era (i.e. the Byrds and Bob Dylan). People tend to give them more credit than they deserve when there are bands that are as good and important is them if not more.
@borntoend94 You're just a spoiled brat, and i know what to tell to crying kids like you,i would sing you, cry bay, cryyyy like the song by The Beatles (John Lennon), so Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better. Listen to that song and learn to respect past geniuses. Then you can talk to me with property, like mature adults, and not like screaming girls.
Absolutely LOVE MSP, but I disagree with the comment below - Gold Against The Soul was pretty ordinary in my opinion, with only 2 standout tracks...the rest were ordinary. MSP even commented that their second album was done in lavish studios and they were grenerally living the cliched rockstar lifestyle...thats why they recorded Holy Bible in a bad part of town surrounded by junkies and prostitutes...so that the album (which is very dark) sounded as far from Gold as possible. Peace out
Are you nuts ? All that shite was there 12 years ago too. Good music always exists, just because it's not on the radio or tv. The worst thing to happen to music was it became an industry. An industry we have a lot to thank for at the same time. But if you believe that there isn't good music "these days" then that's a linear way of thinking. The manics didn't come out 12 years ago, you know. They release albums still, Grinderman just released a new album. Listen to "Heathen Child"
@trollfinger Im on about mainstream, which the manics are, mainstream tends to be horrible,i know there is good music out there, thats why i refuse to listen to radio one,but what im saying is,if the mainstream had more talent like the manics do,world would be a better place.
@Prisoner7777 You mean generally? Cos that's the only 'not so good' find I find in the MSP, their albums sound too sharp let's say. But man, I think we both know that this is a masterpiece. Greetings! :)
@PabloPJ86 I agree. It's epic. In fact, I had a dream about it last night after I wrote my last message. Then I remembered that it was me, actually, who wrote it. Thank you.
@Prisoner7777 You're welcome. In fact, songs like this one or Ocean Spray are my favorite ones, because in songs like these it's where the Manic sound more human. I tell you, I envy James, because he wrote that solo which always gives me goosebumps!
This makes me cry. This song is full of some weird happy-sadness, I don't really know how to describe it. Manics will always have special place in my heart.

@brumster01

I think this song would have been better at a lower pitch.
