  • R.I.P. Sammy Davis Jr.

  • brilliant. people are so like this.

  • hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahah lmao sooo funny. Carol burnett is so dam funny she makes me laugh till i cry.

  • Wow, Sammy was a short man. Thanks for uploading this!

  • That is when we knew what jokes were. These shows are classics. Now we cant say anything about anything without people getting offended. We are so soft it is sad. All in the Family. Good Times. The Jeffersons. Taxi. Soap. that is when we knew how to just laugh at each other. Great show.

  • this is sooo true!!!

i just wish people weren't so stupid and get over what is said on tv!

  • @apocalyptichorrorX yes and no. madtv gets away with a lot. like icecheif says, soo racist to the point it's funny. madtv does a lot like that. but it's still not as funny as the stuff was back then.

  • @apocalyptichorrorX I think the key here is that this is clearly satirical. She's not just making offensive remarks for the sake of saying them. They're making a point of showing how ignorant her character is. Ditto for Archie Bunker, George Jefferson, Good Times, etc. They're all brilliant shows and In that context they're hilarious. Unfortunately some people resent that they can't actually speak that way to black people anymore. Just my two cents...

  • @jonthom11702 "Unfortunately some people resent that they can't actually speak that way to black people anymore. "

Who resents it? Reverend Wright, Barack Obama? Oh wait, they still say things of that nature.

  • @fjccommish Yes, Reverend Wright and Barack Obama resent that white people can no longer openly make racist comments about them. They long for the days when black people could be spoken to in that manner. That's exactly what I'm saying. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • @jonthom11702 Nope, they make the racist comments. When Harvard Professor Henry Gates was arrested, rightfully so, by officer James Crowley, President Obama admitted he knew nothing of the situation but declared that officer Crowley had "acted stupidly". He assumed that because a white officer arrested a black professor, that the white officer was at fault. As mentioned, there are people still speaking that way. Barack Obama and Reverend Wright are two of them.

  • @fjccommish Doesn't change the fact that there are still some racist white people out there. Please re-read my comment, as I clearly was referring to the way Carol Burnett's character spoke towards Sammy Davis Jr. There are some white people who still feel that way. No shortcomings on the part of Obama and Wright change that fact. I also never said that racism doesn't go both ways. You can't deny one's bad behavior exists by simply diverting attention elsewhere. Nice try, though.

  • poigniant and hilarious

  • I love how Carol cracks up because she knows how racist that song is lol

  • i saw sammy davis jr on the cosby show it was rele funny
