This is actually the only good part of this entire movie. Hey, how can you hate a scene in which the Bee Gees get beat up and pinned down by karate nurses half their size?
You know, the funny thing is, NONE of you mention the fact that the album was produced by GEORGE FUCKING MARTIN and one of the musical supervisors was GEORGE FUCKING HARRISON. So if it is THAT bad, you can actually blame an actual Beatle and their fucking producer. This is how music was at the time. I actually quite like it.
Oh heeeeyyy Dr. Crazy. I totally had an appointment with Dr. Sane, but that's ok, you can do it instead......Oh, you brought your psych nurses, that's cool.....Oh hey, maybe cool it on the pyrotechnics and the on the job acid tripping...you know, I'm suddenly not comfortable with this, buddy, where's the other doctor?
I LOVE Steve Martin, and he totally makes this song better!
Stever Martin dancing all crazy, electric tracers coming off silver hammers, funky looking hue color going in and out of the screen, then The Bee Gees run in the room and start batteling... funny, I don't remember dropping any acid today.. somebody must have spiked my drink when I wasn't looking. This is possibly the oddest clip I've watched on youtube. What the heck movie is this from? Is that the actual title? Maxwell's Silver Hammer? Was it originally in 3D and had a bad conversion to 2D?
This rocks my world. Seriously I love Steve Martin and I'm obsessed with the Beatles so him singing this is awesome. Now every time I listen to the original I hear him doing the "woah-ho-ho-ho" lol
This scene is HIDEOUSLY embarrassingly BAD! What dumbshit writer thought this would be GOOD? Steve Martin is a great writer & actor, and he does his absolute best in this scene with the shit given to him.
FYI: why don't you state the name of this movie for those who have never heard of it? "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"
Billions of people know the famous song by this name, but I'll bet very few of them know that a movie was made by this name.
What sucks? The move was not that bad. They did th best they could, the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton and Steve Martin gave great perfomances and they sang great covers of the Beatles songs, so don't go hating on them.
While I love the movie, who the hell thought this would be good? I mean seriously, during filming-you'd think someone would see how absolutely awful it was going to turn out.
And I quote Alice Cooper "Sgt. Pepper...boy that was a suck bomb." This is hilarious. Steve Martin was a sellout comic at this time and he was frequently hosting SNL as well. How did they get him involved with this? I can only imagine what Paul McCartney was thinking when he saw this. Paul must have been like "???????...what have they done?"
@Doc141 Im starting to vaguely remember a 3D movie preview. But I don't recall Steve Martin in it. I do recall the "little" man that also played the dwarf in Masters Of The Universe being in the preview. If this is the movie I'm gonna freak out because I couldn't remember the title at all, and I started to think it was a crazy dream I had. The messed up hue flashes is what made me think it might be what I was trying to recall long ago. Because that looks like bad 3D conversion to 2D.
