Cheers for directing me towards windows movie maker... I didn't even know it was on my pc! havin great fun with it.. will be posting some more vids very soon. I'm working on my rendition of 15 years at the mo!
Got to be one of the best, most powerful songs ever written. A truely epic band that is still to this day the best festival / live band ever, with a hell of a message to give.
Loved this song since I first heard it. Always felt at home in the South West, it describes perfectly for me connecting with my faith, out in the open it's almost unavoidable but in the city you have to reach out to it. Which faith I follow is irrelevant. Beautiful song that has always touched me.
Went Beautiful Days to see them in '06 and going again this year, really can't wait just an unforgetable experience. One of the greatest bands around. :) See you guys at BD.
I'm sure many of you know him, but can I recommend a bit of Seth Lakeman? He's played Beautiful Days. Give him a go anyway.....I recommend: The Hurlers; Take no Rogues; 1643; Race to be King.....Anyone for Summer Solstice, Stonehenge?
Its a sprirtual thing! not meant to be taken too litrally! Its a song about the spiritual things of britain! We was the center for druidism once! britain! A spiritual center! hahaha! we lost that a LONG time ago!
Dont you mean...a spiritual centre. Its not that the spelling is the American adoption , but do Americans actually have an understanding of spirituality in their fibre?...
The Radjel in Pendeen. A true locals pub. Gurnards Head. A bit Posh these days. Miners in Zennor. Nice but can be taken over in the summer.. North inn Pendeen, another local Pub St just has the Star in the square. 5pubs all within 150 yards. But the star is the best. Try the white hart at Ludgvan. My local about 4 miles from Men an tol.
Am from West Penwith AND a Levellers lover - but it's interesting to see Stonehenge, Giant's Causeway (and other sundry places in Ireland) featured in a video titled 'Men-An-Tol'!
my earliest memories of going on holiday is being in the car for 5 hours listening to every levellers cd we had. i must have been about 4/5 im 14 now and i listen to them more thanever now.
I used to listen to this over and over. It's a truly moving and exciting song. The Levellers are one of the best, no question. I'd love to find 'Survivors' on here. Anyone? I'm going to hunt down 'chemically free' as well, amazing stuff.
what an amazing band ! iv listend to levellers since i was 8 when i heard my dad listening to them and have listend to them eversince im now 19 and still love the music very powerful and moving !!!!1
When I was on holiday down in Cornwall I made the long trek to Men-an-tol and crawled through the holed circular rock. I felt a strange feeling as I did so, and as I emerged from the other side a 'jogger' appeared from nowhere offered me a cursory glance and carried on without saying a word. Weird........or unreal.....it felt very strange.
Fantastic, powerful track that I will have played over some decent speakers at my funeral!!
I have not heard this song for years ... it still sends shivers down my spine and makes me want to up sticks and head south .... thanks 4 the upload =)
