  • That SD45-2 is nice.

  • Guys, the rear coupler does work you just need to hit the cars hard eneough. Check out MonsterRailroad's channel for how he fixed is if its really that big of a deal to you.

  • who made your track and rolling stock?

  • love the layout. is it a point to point layout? Do you mainly buy athearn or do you also buy atlas and kato?

  • From what I hear the MTH sound units are crap. They only consist with other MTH units and theyb tend to shut down and act funny. If it's only the couplers that are giving you problems count yourself lucky.

  • I have a SD70M-2 Norfolk Southern MTH Diesel engine # 2654.I went to a train show recently and saw the same one you have in this video.

  • MY SON AND I LOVE THIS LAYOUT NICE!!!!!!!!

  • very cool the cars you have look a lot like what you see on real NS trains I like when people make things look realistic

  • Yea, I got rid of my MTH SD70 because of the problems I had. The couplers would work about half the time. I also had problems with the light's at times. I returned it to the hobby shop within a week of purchasing it. I only buy Athearn now!

  • did that come with rear ditch lights?

  • wow huge collection of ho scale train cars in the back most be a hobby store.

  • Nice!!!!!

  • what do ya use to keep your track clean? or do you have to give them the ol' bright boy treatment afterwords?

  • how did he put the track down? was it nailed down or glued down, if glued down what did he use

  • this is some nice rail fanning.... very good job on the video!

  • puts my layout to shame. lol nice sd70aces I think im gonna purchase one of Athearns when they come out.

  • how does the MTH sound compare to the Tsunami? Both sound great in this vid. Intrigued by recent MTH innovations but annoyed with their DCC stance, etc..

I started with the 8 bit Sountraxx LC decoders and I still think those sound better than the dreadful QSI stuff in my Paragon E6. Their diesel sounds like a spaceship. Then the Tsunami diesel came out and blew me away, especially when coupled to those 1" QSI (heh) "high bass" speakers.

  • I had the SAME problem with my rear coupler on my sd70m-2!! weird..

  • dude did you fix it? and if so how???

  • No I havnt.. Ime going to call them tomorrow though.

  • Alright let me know how that goes b/c I had callled them once already since mine was missing a Cab Window Shade and they want a copy of a reciept and garbage...way more complicated to deal with than Athearn...

  • Nice one man!

  • are you gonna fix the coupler?

  • um...yea hopefully

  • thats good

  • COOL i have a CSX MTH SD70ACE it only has front ditch lights but they do operate

  • Awesome video, That is one outstanding locomotive. The sound is incredilbe 5 Stars *****.

  • hey me to with the rear coupler btw whered you get rear ditch lights

  • they come with it

  • yea the NS are the only ones that come with rear & operating ditchlights...that's another reason why I had to get it!

  • now thats what im talking about love the huge layout wow your making me want to finish my layout to :)

  • so awesome:)
