RGB's the way to go with these old consoles whenever they can output RGB out of the box. I tried a MegaDrive on a Commodore 1084S monitor, which has an RGB input, and the difference between Composite and RGB on a MegaDrive is huge. It looks like I'm using a Genesis emulator.
Now that I've seen this, I should get to work and build an RGB cable for my RGB-modded(not by me) PC Engine Duo-R(will need a sync separator because the 1084S will not take Composite video as Composite Sync).
FYI, you don't need to solder the RGB inside your SuperGrafx if you don't have any of the CD-ROM add-ons. If you have a proper plug, you can just build a cable that plugs into the expansion port to get your RGB(the amp would go in the cable).
@MrRiffbear - Component mod? Where did you see that? As far as I know, the PC Engine only outputs RGB and Composite. The only way to pull off Component video is to use an external RGB to Component converter box.
But Component will give you a very nice image. It might be inferior to RGB due to Component being slightly different than RGB, but it looks damn nice.
I really need a schematic for an RGB to Component converter(with parts I can actually purchase LOCALLY, thank you very much).
Very nice, the difference is quite astounding!

I noticed a difference even in the video. Actually, I noticed it better when the camera wasn't so close to the screen.
The blurriness is just all gone! It looks fantastic.

@Perkinson78 - Could you PM me a link for said cable? I doubt it's a true RGB cable.

I`m in the process of making composite outputs on all my retro systems! Much easyer to plug and play, and the quality is far better!
Keep it cool!
