This game is overrated, not horrible but my god the fans are nuts. The first two games were definitely better, mostly because the puzzles just felt fresher. Know what I'm getting at? :/

Yes...plus the story elements of a typical J RPG and it was too cliched...

@stanleyopar91 Indeed. I think they should have just kept the first 4 characters and left the rest as NPCs for a fourth title. The story was pretty much fine until it got to them, then it went really downhill

@crazybuizel Yes, I confess this game was actually a bit disappointing due to the fact that there are points of no return in the game (meaning you can NOT return to any previous towns you have visited once you get to a certain point in the game). :(

I had fun on my 1st time playing through the game, but the replayability rate is low in my opinion.

hey, i just recently found out about golden sun and got dark dawn not realizing its the third game, should i get the first two and play them first or just go with the third game (i still have a functioning gameboy advance luckily)?

oh yes...most definitely....there are so many references to the first and second one...and if you play this one....the entire story of the first and second game is revealed o_O
