  • Great video.

  • I remember Chuckie, I drug my dad to that museum almost once a month to see that B-17 when I was a young kid. I loved going inside of it!! I was 15 the last time I saw her. I'm now 17 and wishing I could of seen her one last time before she made the move to Florida.......... I'm one of the very few teenagers who appreciate pieces of art and beauty such as this, and for the other few that I know they will also be disappointed. Treat her well!

  • Will Chuckie be an active operational aircraft like going around touring? or will she be a static in your museum?

  • Yet another huge loss for the once thriving North Texas warbird community... I can only hope she is appreciated.

  • It was a race across the country, when the museum’s new addition of Chuckie the B-17 Flying Fortress left Meacham Field in Fort Worth, early that morning and flew eastbound across the continent to reach our museum airport before sundown. About twenty minutes after official sunset (5:19 PM), the darkness of the night completely encompasses the surrounding area. It is a daytime only airfield and to miss the last minutes of twilight would have meant having to divert to Norfolk or Suffolk, VA.
