  • DOUBLE TIME!!!!!!!

  • Barbarians are pretty good sometimes though. When you use Romans you have to keep them organized all the time or they will break and run.

  • Elephants? Y U NO RUN FASTER?!

  • 2:06

    You're welcome.

  • I didn't listen to all of the people hating the Gauls so I formed an alliance with them. They payed me back by blockading my port. They no longer exist.

  • I liked playing as the barbarians in the expansion, their troops are powerful as hell and you only start with one or no territory, which i find it fun to expand from having barely any territory at all. Roman and Sassanid were also fun.

  • @cataphract333 Except my play style was so much more violent. Playing as the Romans I was much more conservative using cavalry charges (which I withdrew and re-attacked with) and the battlefield typically had certain areas with visible casualties (such as near walls).

On the other hand, playing as the barbarians, there were bodies EVERYWHERE. I looked like World War 1 No man's land.

  • I started playing this game after I bought it a month ago in the big Steam sale. Now I can't stop playing it! This is the first Total War game I have ever played and I plan on trying them all out after I have conquered the world for Rome!

  • With the help of this music, I heroicly defended my City of Corduba against invaders

  • @DarkChoclatewithtop if you played as carthage that city is a pain in the ass

  • @DarkChoclatewithtop I remember Corduba being invaded when i was Carthage by Spain. I defended it then wiped them off the map completely. Bringing Spain under the control of the Carthaginians. :)

  • Damn Gauls'! They must all die!

  • @DarkChoclatewithtop gaul once invaded a town of mine

i repayed the favor by destroying their little "nation"

  • @xxdomoxxkunxx Gaul once existed near a settlement of mine, not only did I destroy Gaul, I pillaged and crucified my way to Spain and Briton, then I destroyed both of those factions as well SIMPLY FOR LOOKING LIKE GAUL.

  • @Killzoneguy117 i like the cut of your gib

if there was a co-op online campaign i have a feeling we would both exterminate the barbarians real quick lol

  • @xxdomoxxkunxx Awww fuck yeah. That would be awesome.

  • Where did you download all theese songs? cause i cant find them on Itunes store!!

  • 2 BARBARIANS DISLIKE THIS GREAT SONG/CHANT,HOW DARE THEY CONCIEVE THE ROMAN EMPIRE,WE SHOW THEM ROMANS WHO IS BETTER!!!!

  • @tarboy45 Two barbarians is all that's usually left after I'm done on the Battlefield.

  • 2 Gauls clicked dislike!

  • How dare those two barbarian scum dare to *dislike* this music?

I want their heads on a platter, BOTH of them!

  • URBAN COHORT!

    *Attack warband*

    DESTROY THEM!

  • UNITS! FORWARD!

    OI!

  • @XEvilCookiesX Omg, Evil ish you wtf

  • imagine football fans singing this lol the other teams fans and players would shit themselves lol

  • the armies looked wery porly armed by then. barbaric trouser's linen shirt and a stupid looking helm that mock's the original helm, and the Galic shield :[

  • Too bad that when Genghis chan attacked rome used those barbarian clothes, the roman armor we see in movies were ancient history by then, probably why rome fell for fucking up there army whit mercenary scum.

  • @death153278 Where did you learn history? Genghis Khan never came close to the gates of rome... I think you're mistaking it with Attila the Hun, and even he didn't dare to attack the walls of Rome... only the goths under Alaric did that in 410, by the time of Genghis Khan, only the Eastern Roman Empire (Bizantine) was standing, and the mongols bypassed it, avoiding the East Roman Empire completely and attacking Hungary and Poland instead... before returning to the steps... where they belong...

  • @ImperatorRom Wow you're troll alright that was'nt the point anyway :P

  • @death153278 Uau.. so now, knowing proper history is troll? lol Not even the Hun horde on max power on rome:barbarian invasion can get near rome... at least if you're a competent general... they don't even get to cross the river, just build a fort or two on every river cross, and the empire is unbeatable ;) lolol it's just that easy :P

  • @ImperatorRom

Wasn't because Attila did not dare, he could've, simple logistics problems with feeding his army and with the famine destroying Italian crops he couldn't press forward. Too bad for his untimely death, otherwise he would've conquered Western Rome. Keep wondering how far he could've gotten.

  • @MeAndMeYT I don't recall the Khans or Attila bringing anything new to the world that would have benefited the human race. Not like Mediterranean literature and engineering. They were not fit to rule even the smallest nation, warmongering nomads.

  • @EdikShepherd

Khans ruled for quite some time due to military genius, strengthening tribal ties and built vassal governments that were loyal. It isn't a question of benefit to society, but ruthless conquest. Attila though, having been a hostage in Rome in youth had learned a few things, thus setting him a part from the other Huns, could've eventually built something out of a throne in Rome.

  • @MeAndMeYT I'm talking technology and boons to civilization, so Khans are out. And no matter what Atilla learned, he's no fucking match for true Romans. Ave Roma Imperivm, not those barbarians :/

  • @EdikShepherd

Hay, I'm all for the Romans as well, but history showed otherwise. Vae Victis.

Besides, last true Roman, Aëtius dropped out of the game after the battle at the Catalaunian Fields.

  • @MeAndMeYT By the way, it's a gaul who said Vae Victis, after getting a tribut for not saking Roma.

  • @TheSergentChaotix

I'm very well aware of this, after of course fixing the scales to measure the tribute, merely using it as seen appropriate.

  • every time i hear this song, i just picture the SPQR urban cohorts marching towards me in a desert...

  • the music from this game rocks.

  • when i hear this, i always imagining the elephants lols

  • This sounds epic even if it's 20 Spartan Hoplites marching towards your Hastati and Principes

  • this song makes me play epicly!

  • this gave me the chills....

Thumbs up if it happened to you too

  • instead of roman army, imagine yourself in a phalanx when u have orders to forward

  • Roman's>Greek's Greek's are gay.

  • @death153278 FYI Don't forget that Romans came from greeks.

  • @moalsaha

Romans don´t come from greeks, they came from the italics, and learned with the etruscans, and greeks.

  • Comment removed

  • @StellandBlood yah learned with the etruscans and greeks which made them have similar things, which made them greeks.

  • @moalsaha

    Which made them romans.

  • @StellandBlood I took a whole school year about greeks pal, they are greeks.

  • @moalsaha

Then you were not well taught.

  • @StellandBlood That maybe it....My appologies then..

  • @moalsaha The romans came from troy you ballonhead lear yer history!!

  • @Rebypox HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! WHAT A FUCKING RETARD HAHAHAHAH!!!! YOU JUST MADE MY DAY WITH YOUR STUPIDITY!!!

  • @moalsaha the Romans came from troy LOOK IT UP!! Hurtful phrases hardly prove your opinion! The refugees from troy ended up in Italy and founded rome. Look it up unless you too ebaressed to be wrong!

  • @Rebypox They came from Troy only according to legend. It is more likely that proto-Latins arrived in Italy at the time of the Villanovan civilization from across the Alps, and that the proto-Latins were descended from the Indo-Europeans. The proto-Latins would have mixed with the native population. Some historians say that the Etruscans had an Anatolian origin, which might be the souree for the myth.

  • @jlop985 The etruscans brought the romans up

  • @Rebypox i thought they descended from the Atruscans who had lived along the river Tiber for centuries

  • @Rebypox I am not pretty sure where the romans came from, but I think they didn't come from troy.

  • @qwhoamip If they are to be believed, they did. Of course, their founder was also raised by wolves and pushed his brother off a wall.

  • @moalsaha dude they actually did, look up the Aeneid

  • Greeks>Romans, greetings from a barbarian x)

  • Spartans Ftw. I only disliked the German tribe. Stupid Warriors they had. Great Strategy game.

  • dont diss the barbarions they are british

  • 2 people are barbarrian scum who is jealous of all greeks have done.

  • @TheUPLOADER111 Hey asshole I see you are from the US. You do realize that the US is a result of the "barbarian scum" you talk about. The Romans conquered but they were corrupt and didn't last long. The "barbarian scum" was versatile, progressive and had deeply rooted traditions. They embraced the Cross and great nations like Germany, England, France, Hungary, Russia, all Scandinavian nations spurred from that. Later, with the discovery of the New World these people went there and created the

  • @DestroyerAlexandros I hope you realized that because of Rome many tribes actually did form as a nation. Common example with the Germanic Tribes, their previous mode of "economy" was nothing more than agriculture and they were no where near unified. When the Romans came along their entire mode of economy shifted(To slave mode of production) and clans began fighting for power. Through that did they eventually become a unified body. If Rome never existed, we would not have what we have today

  • @Arbiter1231 Hey that's a very good point but what bothers me is when people from Western Europe and North America think they're descendants of the Romans and discredit the so called Barbarians.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros Yeah I guess a lot of people do think that.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros well technically, barbarian means non greek, but i know what you mean, im a descendent of germatic/russian orgin, my line probably wasnt near romans when they were around(i dont know, anything past 1326 is a guess) though i love roma and romans, i dont think i came from roman, though, as a fore mentioned, could be wrong, but i dont see why being germatic or brittanic is bad, they were pretty cool

  • @TheUPLOADER111 US, no not the royalty that are direct descendents of the "greeks" you speak of. The common men with ideas and willpower who are direct descendents of the barbarians went to the Americas and today the US is almost exclusively inhabited by people whose ancestors were deemed barbarians by the Greeks and Romans.

  • @DestroyerAlexandros Dude. Im just referencing the Greek intro from the game.

  • @TheUPLOADER111 Well I'm sure it was something along the lines of "people who are jealous of all that the Greeks have accomplished" not barbarian scum lol.

  • there are any program or anything than I can do to download only the music whitout video?? pls tell me :D

  • 00:42 feel the power gentleman.

  • 3 people whit machineguns and grenades

can easily be overun by hundreds of thrown spears and light cavalary lancing them lol :D

  • @death153278 nothing can beat the mighty Romans

  • I tapped my computer mouse to the beat I did't notice how much I got into it until I used my scroll button :P

  • Modern Armies should use this to inspire their troops!

  • Prepare to be sack. To those 2 who dislike this.

  • this song reminds me of barbarian invasion alot and it makes me feel unstoppable even if im outnumbered :)

  • If CA's next title in the Total War Series is Rome 2, I hope they have the good sense not to change the soundtrack. Some things simply can't be improved.

  • This soundtracks gives me such momentum and inspiration wen am marching my soldiers towards the frontline. These somethin abt this song that makes me feel totally indestrutable even wen out numbered. I love it.

  • Why won't a Top MMA fighter come out to this music in a fight!!?? Rap has dumb down the masses, unfortunately the future masses! MMA fighters are fighters who live to fight another day. Rome would be proud!

  • @aleandb MMA fighters are a bunch of pussies

  • This was stuck in my head when I was doing my exams. It made things so entertaining.

  • Proclamation by the Emperor, tribal leaders, the Pharoah, and leaders of slave revolts: anymore discussion of WW2 or Nazis/Hitler will result in your settlement being captured, buildings razed, and your population viciously crucified...you will be forced to watch, and then after it's all done, you will be fed to the lions.

We mean it. Sincerely, the people of Rome Total War

  • To the Octagon!!!!!!!

  • Everytime I listen to this I hit my fists for an unknown reason and I get all fired up! Ready to fight! :D

  • 2:12

  • Its motivating

  • Lawl pretty ironic that I just finish my world war 2 finals and then I see this argument....Btw know whats funny, We didn't even need to get into the European theater. Nazi germany had a mutual defense pact with Itay and Japan, but since Japan declared war on us, Germany/Hitler had no obligation to declare war on us after we declared a state of war with Japan. Lol Hitler could've put off American intervention for a couple of months at the very least. Good Job hanging in there brits, we owe ya

  • definitely the best music in rtw

  • When the Emperor banned this song Rome fell

  • Does anyone have the lyrics in latin? Lord this chant makes me want to go out and join the legion. One of my all time favorite games and sound track.

  • Imagine a Roman army of 5000 men marching towards your house chanting this song.

  • @watchingvids101 if that were to happen, people would see me running and a trail of crap behind me. lol

  • @watchingvids101 i think i'd have a shit in my pants

  • @watchingvids101 My body is ready.

  • @watchingvids101 one berserker is enough to beat them

  • @alex007919 yeah right... -.-

  • @watchingvids101 "Honey? What are the Legions of Rome doing on the lawn?"

  • @watchingvids101 Wait what? *Numerous spears block out the sun and starts going towards my house* Oh ok,:(

  • BETTER YET, THE WHITE HOUSE.... ITS TIME FOR REAL MEN TO SERVE ITS' COUNTRY

  • @watchingvids101 aaaaaaah!!!

  • @watchingvids101 They fight as well as they chant

  • @watchingvids101 I'd call in some nice new technology on them. Enjoy the tanks!

  • @watchingvids101 it would be a bad day to be half naked with facepaint on

  • @jrhomer100 thats my typical saturday

  • @jrhomer100 Dont forget those devastating roman war machine's ...

  • @watchingvids101 *jizzes pants* lol that would be epic.

  • Dude that be scary if they r coming to get u but it would be cool if they were coming to claim u as their leader

  • I don't know a shit about Rome Total War but this music is the BOMB.

  • Nothing beats defending a town and hearing this music as the tension builds and you wait for the enemy to move closer and set up

  • i love this music ! even know i have no idea what there saying :D

  • ok how the hell there comments and arguments about world war 2 and 9/11 in a music for a game in ancient times?

  • @Maximus9867 Youtube magic :D

  • @ELcapalla2 thats some wierd magic then xD

  • @Maximus9867 Yes, but in WW2 about the glorious nazis were a bitt like the Roman empire during the ancient time though. : ) It's like Hitler trying to ressurecting the roman empire to the 20th century :P But a great idea.

  • @XtremeNasism666 ....I dont think the nazis were glorious but if you think that then fine ;) but its freaking weird ppl talking about WW2 and 9/11 and american imperialism and all that in a video that is about a soundtrack of a game set on ancient times...Its kind of stupid i think :D

  • @Maximus9867 Yeah : ) That is sure retarded from ppl to make a debate on something that dosent compare to this video.Which is hillarious to me :PI think the nazis had exactly the same theory to re-build of the Roman empire during the war. Same as the Japaneses in thier empire. The Keizer were like a God for the ppl in Japan anyways though :P so that explains why they got so many KAMIKAZES to sacrifice for the "God". I telling you the proof of the JapaneseHistory. This is just so Hillarious!:D

  • @XtremeNasism666 i agree with you

  • Romans are the best civilization !

  • @SexyTosi

That may have been true for the Gauls (French) but not the Britons, we wernt cowards. Reminds me of something else *cough* WW1 and WW2 *cough* lol.

  • Who do you serve?

    Emperor?

    or

    The Senates?

  • @zibzero777 My loyalty is to the SPQR and the people of ROME!

  • But Italian and French are form latin....The pronounciation is very similiar...For example God in italian is Dio in latin Deus so i don't see why Italian and French have a feminine pronounciation...

  • two words when u see romans:

    shit run

  • jeez just imagine a metal version of this :D lol im gonna make one some time :D

  • Sparta! sparta!

  • the Athenian phalanx while advancing at full speed at the Battle of Marathon...

  • About the arguemnt about the romans and the slavs/serbs...weren't the balkans in BC bastarnae's...ya know that fearsome tribe a Roman historian wrote about saying something like they could have the power to rule the world....If they stopped killing each other... + romans did take the balkans rather early..... IF you go to places like monenegro a lot of the names still remain Risinium is now Risan e.g
