Does anyone have the manual for this scanner? My next door neighbor is an older lady and I'm trying to locate it for her. I called radio shack and searched their site with no luck.
@YOPHILLYYO Hello! I don't have the manual for the scanner in the video above i posted but i can tell you how to program it for her. All you need is to find out the frequencies for the area you live in :)
Programming Frequencies 1. Select the desired channel 2. Press PROGRAM to enter the programming mode 3. Enter the desired frequency 4. Press ENTER Selecting the Channel 1. Press MANUAL Continue pressing until the display shows Channel desired then Press PROGRAM 2. Enter frequency 3. Press ENTER To program the next frequency Press PROGRAM to advance to the next channel Repeat the same steps to add more frequencies. Snuffcan1 11 months ago
@wolfpaw420 Hello! I'm not sure what you mean by scanning randomly, but you can use the search feature on this model to find random frequencies within the search limits of the frequencies you programmed in. Or you must program each channel with a frequency, it doesn't just turn on and go to any random frequency on its own. Hope this helps :)

Thank you for helping me program the scanner. It programs alright but it doesn't seem to pick up any frequencies. It scans alright and everything, but nothing seems to be happening with it. Is it me, or is my unit not working? Thanks again, James
@xpane Do you have up to date frequencies? That could be what it is. Try programing in some NOAA weatheradio freq's in and see if they pick up anything :)
@Snuffcan1@xpane It's funny but I found some local frequencies and after I programmed them into the scanner I am able to receive a few police calls, etc. I always thought if you had a scanner, it would automatically pick anything up that was being broadcast locally. Hmmm. I will try and program the NOAA weatheradio freq's. You've been a big help. Thanks, James
I had one just like this one but something went wrong with it so I got rid of it.

I also googled local police scanner frequencies and I was able to put in local police, ambulance, state patrol, tribal cops, and more!!!
