I have this camera around 3 years. I like how you can use movies. But, how do you pause the recording? I want to create good movies, but I dont know how to pause the camera. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks. I've had this camera for about 2 years and didn't know about some of those features. It's a great camera, super durable and my 'work' camera that I use to take shots of products that we'll be buying and selling. I use it more then our Canon DSLR.

this camera is horrible......unless you consider changing ur battery every 6 minutes. right after this video was filmed he probably had to change the battery.

Try lithium or advanced lithium batteries. With those batteries, I've taken well over 200 pictures.

the L18 and L16 were recalled because if you insert the batteries backwards and apply a shock of pressure the heat will melt the camera's right side.

u can use window movie maker right click on ur video then Mute it. that all u can put music

u cant do that with this camera. record with adio then turn the adio off and add sound when you edit it. even windows movie maker has that capibility

I feel ya. I got this camera for with my Christmas money too. The only answer I can give you to this comment is that you have to use alkaline(sp?) batteries. The camera uses special batteries. when I first got it so it would constantly say batteries exhausted. But when you use the batteries it tells you to use (You can find it on the menu and click on what is somewhere along the lines of "battery" or "battery life") it lasts longer. Mine has lasted 2 weeks without new batteries so far

did you transfer the video through nikon trransfer or did you forget to install the software on your pc? If you have windows movie maker, put the video in ther,edit, save ,then try uploading.

2. some of the camera's have stickers on them, are they easy to take off?

2.There is one sticker on the front and it it very easy to take off it is like one of those stickers you can take on and off glass

3.the battery's that come with the camera you can not re charge.

I have the L16 and it's just as good, except for the smaller screen (2.8 inch. very small difference), and 7.1 mp. But Mega pixels make no difference. They're just ripoffs that camera companies use to make you pay more

It has a 3" lcd screen I mean for that price for about $139 its a steal. 8 megapixels and face detection technology on most new 2008 digital cameras. the only bad thing is it uses AA batteries, it could be perfect with an already included Li-on battery instead. Its a good camera for movies too, 640x480 30fps (great for youtube).
