  • Good for you Sandra!! I am so glad she won the award!! I by accident hit the thumbs down button, I meant thumbs up!! I re-clicked thumbs up just in case!! Brought tears to my eyes, a beautiful person.

  • Forest Whitaker's speech to Sandra Bullock is so embarrassing, talking about her talent and mention that awful movie called hope floats, that even when he finished his speech no one believe it, and no one applaud.

And in the other hand, Oprah and Stanley Tucci gave wonderful speeches

  • Worst moment in Oscar history, any other of the talented actresses should have won, I don't care which, but anyone but not Sandra Bullock, other awful moments in Oscar are the triumph of Crash, Geraldine Paige over Whoopi Goldberg, Gwyneth over Cate Blanchett, Grace Kelly and Rita Moreno over Judy Garland, just to name a few

  • Love her

  • If proof was ever needed that the Academy had lost it - it was with this award.

  • ugh Jesse makes me sick -_-

  • By far Sandra's strongest performance & she's a genuinely lovely person, but she still shouldn't have won the Oscar, it should've gone to Carey Mulligan for An Education.

  • Oprah's speech to Gabourey Sidibe gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  • Meryl should have won that year!

  • She is the Best!

  • ..that I share with these extraordinary women and my lover meryl streep. Hahaha I laughed so hard

  • MERYYYYYL ! :D

  • meryl streep's performance as the amazon, c.i.a. agent, cook deserved it

  • nothing exceptional about her, even though i do like sandra i feel like this was more of a pitty prize than anything... that girl from precious acted waaaaay better and deserved a lot more.

  • carey mulligan should've wom

  • i'm sorry to say this but i saw this movie and I don't see what is so special about Sandra Bullock playing a regular soccer mom..

one of the least memorable performances ever..

  • 0:55 - 1:06 she is BEAUTIFUL!..Love her!!!

  • Clearly not the best year of Oscars. Sandra Bullock winning the Oscar, The Hurt Locker winning Best Picture, Avatar only winning three Oscars (loosing Sound Editing and Mixing).

The best parts: Monique and Christoph Waltz winning, Geoffrey Fletcher winning Best Adapted Screenplay - the first black screenwriter to win an Oscar, Up winning Best Original Score.

Okay parts (not complaining): Jeff Bridges finally winning an Oscar, Kathryn Bigelow winning Best Director, and that's about it.

  • Being able to remember this clearly still hurts. I absolutely love her, but she has no standards for an Academy Award - or, for all I care, maybe it's the Oscar that no longer has'em.

  • I remember when she won! It was awesome!

  • Why did she get a standing ovation?!

  • @ksairoredjo1 That was MEAN! LOL Tottaly agreed!

  • @ksairoredjo1 cause it was a fantastic performance and she's been one of the most underrated actors in the biz. Plus she's one of the most liked (for good reason) people in the biz.

  • my favourite oscar speech of all time

  • Most undeserved Oscar ever?

  • @Withnonickname most deserved oscar ever more like

  • @richarldluva124 Seriously? You can't even compare her performance to that of Vivien Leigh's or Elizabeth Taylor's or Meryl Streep's. Sandra's (as much as I adore her) win is pretty low in the list of winners.

  • @halsatia have u seen the blind side? her performance was so gripping and awe inspiring. but if thats ur opinion, they so be it

  • The best speech was Stanly Tucci1!!! My favorite Oscar speech ever!

  • sandra's performance in blindside was more than worthy of this award.

  • Awww people are standing and applauding for her :) I love Sandra

  • she is the picture of class.

  • She deserved it ! I think this was one of the best acceptance speech I ever seen.

Congratulations Sandra ! You did a good job ! You deserved this award !!!

  • @rafaelbuzios check out Tom Hanks winning best actor for philadelphia, not anything against sandra, she totally deserved the award, but Tom Hanks speech is a tear jerker

  • @rafaelbuzios SHe did not deserve to win over the other nominees, especially Meryl Streep,

  • I like Sandra, but I think a nomination would have been enough. There were other amazing actresses that year Carey Mulligan & Helen Mirren both gave powerful performances and Meryl Streep gave one of the most entertaining performances of the year. But it is rare to give an Oscar just for being an amazing entertainer , it is for that reason if it had my decision that the Oscar would have gone to Gabourey Sidibe.

  • This is why Viola Davis didn't get the lead actress nod for 2011.

  • @lukebccb why?

  • @lissa16lissa: because there's a strong opinion that Streep was far-and-away more deserving of the Best Actress nod for her work in Julie & Julia than Sandra Bullock in 2010 and so at this years Oscars, instead of giving the BA nod to Viola Davis as most expected, the members gave the award to Streep as a "sorry we fucked up in 2010 so here's the award to make it up to you" so thus Davis lost out on an award she should've received.

  • Good for you Sandra... but I must say....Stanley Tucci..woooo...mmmm

  • am i the only one who thinks gabby is a little overweight?

  • good spech sandra..lol

  • best end for a speech ever: this extraordinary experience and my lover... Meryl Streep! flawless women right there

  • I loved it when she was crying at Meryl's acceptance speech yesterday...such a beautiful moment and also two of my fave actresses

  • @Tani912 realmente é bom perceber que as pessoas não reconhecem apenas seu próprio talento

  • @Tani912 I loved this too!!! thought i was the only one who cared hahaha

  • Probably the nicest acceptance speech ever.

  • @MasterRioBr I agree.

  • Which would be the actress that Sean Penn wanted to win? Sandra Bullock? I don't think so, who did you think it could be, I though that Carey or Mery

  • Gosh the best woman you could ever have the honor of meeting! That was the best speech I have ever seen! When she said that about Jesse He was probably crying because he knew how loving of a womaan she is and what he was really doing. When she spoke about her mom I broke down,

  • "And tonight, she is sitting at the Academy Awards in the same category as Meryl Streep." Say what you will about Oprah, but that woman knows how to make an impact with a speech!

  • We can be at once the best and the worst :D The paradox of Sandra Bullock ;) Great role! "Steve " was just an accident

  • er...why is she calling her mother helga d? i wiki'd it and that is her mothers name but still

  • Why doesn't Meryl Streep have like 175 oscars? lol she the best in the world lol Congratz Sandy tho

  • worst winner ever..

  • Meryl Streep is quiet simply the best.

  • The way Oprah claps is retarded...

  • SANDRA BULLOCK, THE BEST, 4EVER <3

  • Jesse's whispering in Sandra's ear, "By the way, now that you won, I have to tell you a few things when we get home about what happened while you were away on the set."

  • no thumps up or down? ;(

  • it is known that sandra said she didnt like the movie the blind side, she said it was one of the worst she acted in

  • BEST WINNER EVER

  • Nooooo, not Jesse James.

  • it's not even about getting the award itself. the real reward is that an entire theatre of people, some of which are esteemed actors, actresses, writers, etc love you so much and stood in your honor. only sandra could have that many people love her like that.

  • i love sandra and meryl's interaction. hahaha. they're the fucking best. only sandra could make me laugh and cry within minutes. she makes me feel bipolar.

  • The way she came up to Meryl was a little awkward xD

  • Love Sandy she so deserved this.

  • I like sandra bullock in the blind side but cmon really? an oscar not the best choice.

  • I really love Sandra B!

  • People who say that Gabourey is fat and ugly... ugh, I pray that you guys don't end up in hell. Why make someone feel like shit? It's time to move on... #BORNTHISWAY!

  • Well done Sandra, u deserve the nomination, not to win. How much did u pay for this? Because the others were better than u, sorry.

  • THUMBS UP FOR AUTO YOUTUBE QUALITY!!!

IT AUTOMATICALLY PUT IT TO HD :)

  • What a classy speech

  • Sandra is just.......stunning. She is talented and kind and intelligent and charming. Beautiful inside and out.

  • name a fat girl with an ugly face not the best hope we done have to wait as long as we did for halle to get another woman of colour to win (no asian latina woman ever nomtied)

  • @oxMadelynxo i don't know about that. Viola Davis has a very good change at winning this year.

  • @oxMadelynxo It's not about the way you look. It's about talent.

  • @oxMadelynxo dude! rosie perez????!

  • @oxMadelynxo name one single Asian or Latina actress that deserves an Oscar and what for? You can't. so stfu

  • @doesitmatter94 Rinko Kikuchi in Babel

  • @doesitmatter94 Rinko Kikuchi in Babel.... she was really awesome in that role....

  • @doesitmatter94 just one? I can name millions

  • I LOVE how Meryl slapped Sandra's ass on her way up! So funny!

  • 09:40 Her comment to Carey Mulligan makes me laugh every time.

  • How on Earth is it possible to choose between Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock and Gabourey Sidibe?! Impossible...

  • I still can't believe that she won...

  • Dam you jesse james you do not deserve her

  • @PaulhusBrittany jesse must have felt like such an asshole when she was publicly telling everyone how wonderful he was. i still think he sabotaged himself on purpose because he couldn't understand how he got such a wonderful woman like sandra. too bad for him. she's such a classy, funny woman.

  • @Jerseyqueens4 whyy?

  • @Jerseyqueens4 Why?? She helped produce Precious and got nominated for the color purple

  • ".....Which means that this could be the last time that anyone would have to stand up here and say, despite their personal feelings, That Meryl Streep is quit simply The Best!"

    MAKES ME CRY EVERYTIME!!!

  • waste of an oscar.

  • she deserves it

  • damn, now THAT is a speech

  • The Precious Actress should loose some weight. That is not healthy. Ofc she should not become "Hollywood" thin, but she should take care of her health. She has such a beautiful face!

  • @Paischi ur right

  • @Paischi I'm not gonna say anything mean, but I don't like people who tell others to lose weight. You should worry about yourself, and let others do that too.

You don't even know her, so you are no one to her to say something like that. I'm not saying it is healthy, or it isn't, because I don't know if she is, in fact, healthy.

And I think people who tell others that they are too fat, are the ones responsible for anorexia and bulimia.

What's "hot" and what's not, changes with time.

  • LOVE HER.

  • amazing speech.

  • I really love Stanley Tucci and Meryl Streep in Julie&Julia and The Devil wears Prada *-*

  • What the fuck is Oprah doing up there?

  • @KaiserBecks She was the executive producer of Precious and nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in Color Purple. I guess those two reasons good enough for putting her up on that stage.

  • i didnt think she was good enough to win,but she didnt deserve her husband leaving her for a tatted up slore...

  • it sucks that Oher can't play worth a shit. great inspiring story but he cant play a game with out false starting

  • I don't think she should have won, but that was a great and fluid speech.

  • Meryl Streep is quite simply....THE BEST! love that line :)

  • Whatever you think of her performance (which I loved), this is one of the best Oscar speeches in recent memory.

  • deserved it, this woman did. Immensely amazing Sandra Bullock was in the Blind Side

  • I think it's obvious that Gabby should have won....HANDS DOWN!

  • dislike for jesse james in the picture...

  • I ADORE Sandra Bullock!! My favourite actress! So glad she got the recognition she deserved.

  • The Oscars lowest point...

  • @centralviva seriously she got an oscar for that role, unbelievable. Her performance didnt even stand out for me. the movie itself is fucking exploitative at best. oh a poor black boy gets saved by the rich white lady. fuck this film.

  • @IGNsucks DAMN RIGHT BRO. Precious should have Won Best film and Best actress, Screw The Blind Side

  • @centralviva I agree! The oscars lowest point. It was like "Single Ladies" winning Song of the year at the grammys LOL Hey I think it was the same year

  • The way Oprah is talking about Gabby is so funny, as if she would be successful actress. The poor girl needs to lose weight so she fits into hollywood image. I'm not being harsh but this is true.

  • Wtf was Sean Penn talking about?

  • I love Sandra...but really this role isn't Oscar worthy. Who are we kidding?

  • @ThoseDarnNargles LOL I said the same thing like I LOVE LOVE!!! Sandy but this was not an oscar worthy performance. I mean it wasn't a difficult role by any means. It wasn't different from any other role she's done in the past either.

  • so undeserving

  • Its a pity most americans don't take note of what Sandra is saying about prejudice. being a foreigner is the USA is not accepted.

  • They are all great actors. Gabby was fantastic, but I really thought Sandra deserved this award. Meryl doesn't need to win anymore Oscars because everyone knows she is already the greatest actress out there! :)

  • @4:14 Looks like a "Before" and "Waaaaay Before" Picture =)

  • For me, Sandra was great but she shouldn't have won the Oscar. Either Carey, Meryl or Gaby should have won it. But I suppose the most important part is to be recognised and that's what the nominations are all about.

  • She deserved it :) she's simply amazing lol

  • MY DARLING CAREY WAS ROBBED :'(

  • Sandra Bullock did amazing job in The Blind Side.

  • Sandra's an amazing person and a great dame. I love her.

  • That was such a humbling speech, that despite her performance (possibly) not being the best out of the 5, I still feel like she deserves the Oscar.

  • @imFROZeN i agree!

  • I hated how Peter Saarsgard spoiled the whole movie >.<

  • Do you think Jessie James leant over when she won and whispered 'Im fucking a Nazi whore, good luck up there!!!!' ?

  • She is so humorous! I like her speech!!

  • She is just humorous! :D:D:D

  • Seeing Jesse's face at 11:46 makes me want to cry because it's so beautiful! They way he looks at her, you can tell how in love he is and how proud he is. And it confuses me that this kind of a face could be coming from someone who was doing what he was doing.

  • I'm so in love with Stanley Tucci.

  • carey mulligan looks like michelle williams.. lol.. for me though

  • Why? just why? I mean, i think she is lovely but... why?

  • One of the biggest Oscar mistakes. Mulligan deserved it.

  • Bad actress Bad Wife

  • Bad actress

  • And still after everything she said about James, he cheated on her. Stupid asshole.

  • meryl streep: DENIED! 8:39

  • Would have loved to see Julia Roberts play the role and win,but Sandra is very good too

  • makes me sick hahhahahaha i love her

  • @AcademyAwardsPerson you are clearly an idiot.

  • @AcademyAwardsPerson Seriously? The Blind Side is definitely her best film for acting ability, nobody else could touch her for winning the award.

  • @AcademyAwardsPerson I hope your jocking

  • @AcademyAwardsPerson I think she was great in that movie

  • Carey should have won this 100%! Every critic, every viewer knows it...

  • @iseeyouclarice Completely agree with you! Carey was ROBBED

  • God I love Stanley Tucci...

  • 03:30 Love how much Carey looks like her mum!

  • 9:40 LOL

  • I personally think that Sandra Bullock was fantastic in The Blind Side. I have yet to see An Education, Precious, or The Last Station, so I can't say if she truly deserved the Oscar. I thought that Meryl Streep was great, but Bullock's role required a certain amount of complexity that is hard to achieve. Also, as Roger Ebert said, Oscars love a comeback performance.

  • lovely speech, bravo Sandra! x

  • I Love Sandra Bullock.

I think she is an amazing Actress & her personality is wonderful.

Her performance in "The Blind Side" is fantastic.

Meryl Streep or Gabourey Sidibe should have won this award, not her

  • she deserved it....not just for that movie but for her whole lifework!

  • well, Meryl Streep being in a comedy movie, despite she was truly amazing, was predictable that she wouldn't win, as comedy movies don't do very well at Oscars.

  • God, I LOVED Carey in An Education. She deserves an Oscar for sure.

  • I still don't think Sandra deserved it. It was a great performance but she won purely on hype and box office. Gabourey and Mulligan were far better in their performance.

  • Where has Gabourey been? Hollywood used her because it needed a fat black girl for a role and no one else was available. That's why she didn't win.

  • So Sandra Bullock wins the academy award for The Blind Side yet iconic performances such as Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard, Bette Davis in All About Eve, Emily Watson in Breaking the Waves, Al Pacino in The Godfather Part 2, Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction, Ellen Burstyn in Requiem for a Dream, Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and so on failed to win the oscar... I don't get it.

  • @alasfran28 Actually, Bette Davis DID win a oscar for All About Eve. It was the same year Gloria Swanson was nominated for Sunset Boulevard too.

  • My God! La recuerdo en Speed! Fantastica Sandra!

  • lovelovelove the song in the background! classic : )

  • So has Meryl Streep ever won an Oscar??!!

  • @Hellcome2play yes, for Kramer vs. Kramer!

  • @Hellcome2play Yes, she has won two. 1 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Kramer vs Kramer, and 1 Best Actress for her role in Shopie's Choice.

  • @gusford1988 i always think she is the leading role of Kramer vs Kramer.

  • <
