  • iMac is great till it let's you down. Then you gotta pay all over again.

  • i have the imac and remote. its so sweet : D

  • @NewYorkDontLoveMe Cool. The iMac is very nice.

  • @NewYorkDontLoveMe i saved up for a whole year. and my dad payed half of it for my xmas present, im only 13 and i know garageband, final cut and all, macs changed my life.

  • @NewYorkDontLoveMe Sounds like you know your stuff.

  • does it work with any laptop

  • good stuff mate! keep it up :)

  • Thanks.

  • on the macbook they took off the firewire... sad

  • je l'ai essayée... ça ne marche pas super bien!

  • Dave, get your facts straight. First of all, as it's already been mentioned the battery has always been accessible on the apple remote. Second, the new mouse does have physical (left/right) buttons, they're merely hidden.

  • aluminum?

  • this looks like teh good PC, I wanted teh get these for my PC and gotted it for my borthers laptop bcuth he sayed this was the best stuff

  • mac is really good but id rather get linux

  • same here

  • For once I prefer a PC with WIndows 7 :P

  • haha. same :D

  • yeah, 'new'.

  • Just want to point out that the remotes always have had an accessible battery by way of the button on the bottom.

  • wow, well done dave, this video is featured

  • prefer pc, hardly anything is compatible with macs and you get much more speed and processing power for your money with pcs.

  • all the apple laptops aint sealed,i have the aluminum mac book and i can get to the batters just with the push of a tab,im abit annoyed to be honest as this mac book isnt made anymore, they have been updated to macbook pro's and also the new white mac book has a faster processer

  • not sure i can agree with the price of the Magic Mouse. however the new 27" iMac is amazing with its Quad-Core processor. really want one but being a student i can part with £2500 haha

  • it' only £1600, and if you're in higher education then use your student discount by logging in at Uni and the price then drops to just £1400 :D

  • I got the magic mouse, it is soooooooooo sick!

  • Did you have to buy the application for the camera view of yourself or was if free and where can I download it from?

  • Screenflow is a paid for application.

  • Okay thanks!

  • the white apple remote was accessible u just got something and pushed the circle at the bottom, the tray pops out and theres your battery

  • i dont understand whats gr8 bout mac, they cost twice or three times as much for decent hardware. a mac tht costs 1k i cud make a similar performing pc with just £300 odd and it just wudnt be as athentic. someone explain 2 me whts so gr8 bout mac?

  • theyre just....so.....pretty

  • closed system, windows is open system (this is just what ive been told)

as windows is open system anybody can make software for it so its not `designed` for windows, so might not work properly? has differnt acces to cpu or something.

with mac's its all designed by same company so it works together well?

    i think anyway :)

  • mac is idiot proof. idiots are usualy rich and can afford 1k laptop. thats all, smart people like u and me can get away with same spec for less than half price

  • there is now way for £300 you could make the same performance. same spec but not the same performance. basically i love the design and quality of their products. also i find their OS just runs perfectly and had no problems at all.

however don't think i am a microsoft hater i just prefer Apple

  • Depends man, if you build a computer from parts you buy from the web, I reckon you could get a fairly decent computer up and running for a cheap price. For example, I built my computer parts + software + 19 inch screen all for £600 and I have a Quad Core with 4 Gigs of RAM and a 9800GTX graphics card. I highly doubt you could ever create the same thing for that price with a Mac.

  • You can access the battery now

  • I am a mac guy all the ways but their mice are just not there! I am using saitek mice myself. Also mice acceleration is retarted and not as precise as on windows. But you can go around this with microsofts osx mice drivers.

  • Do people here have any life at all, he can say it how he wants to say it. Perhaps he just works with a lot of americans?!

  • Thanks for your comment. I noticed so many comments on how I say this. To put the record straight, I say it how the manufacturer intended. Apple are based in the US, so that is how I choose to say it.

  • and the designer jonnathon ive says Aluminium.....

  • Sorry to be critical, but only americans say ALU-MI-UM us english say aluminium, you have a english acsent, say it like a english man does, and i have to say the pirces are too high, although i will be purchasing the magic mouse and the new remote, i need 2 remotes anyway ;)

  • you could get to the battery on the remote before... look at the bottom: push a screwdriver in the slot, it pops out, you can change it...

  • thank you

  • Wouldn't pay more than a tenner for the remote, and that new mouse is a joke, wow.

  • ITS ALUMIN-I-UM

  • I don't understand this guy, he says aluminum like the americans, but he's using the UK website so he says £££'s

I say just choose one, american, or english!

  • You can access the battery in the old remotes at the bottom, just push in the little indent with a pen or similar and the battery slides out..

  • can some one tell me how or program to use to record on screen vids like that. and give me the name of the program he used

  • screenflow is an option

  • how do you record your screen like this?

  • screenflow is an option

  • is the macbook pro getting an update soon?

cause now the macbook has 250 gb and the macbook pro has 160 gb 0_o

  • Are you going to review the new MacBook?

  • Yes, I hope so.

  • There is a button on the Magic Mouse. The whole mouse is the button. It senses where your hands are so it knows whether to right or left-click.

  • just like the previous mighty mouse does. As i once took it apart, it had ribbon sensors under the left and right sides

  • HELLO I AM ITALIAN AND I WANTED YOU SAY THAT THE NEW IMAC HERE IN ITALY ARE ESPECIALLY like hot cakes since its release the new iMac 27 VIVA AMERICA

  • Io sono mezzo americano mezzo italiano. hehehe

  • I have a question, does the iMac have a built in capture device, how do you do that?

  • That magic mouse looks attractive, but i don't like the idea of having touch sensitive clicking and silly gestures. buttons would be much easier to use.

  • I'm imagining how frustrating it must be for editing. (I do graphic editing, thats why I'm mentioning it.)

  • i'm not sure i understand the point of this video - you're simply reading the apple store web page to people and telling us how lovely you think it all is.

  • Not everyone keeps up to date with the Apple website and/or its announcements. This informative video is to help spread the word.

  • Does the quad core make it faster? I don't understand because the dual core version has more ghz. :)

  • same me, I was dont understand why. but I was check on intel (dom) com. quad core i5 is

    - 8 MB of Intel® Smart Cache,

    - 2 channels of DDR3 1333 MHz memory, i understand add with DDR3 is fast than core 2 duo is still 1333MHz with no DDR3 ?

  • Comment removed

  • Measuring the power of processors isn't as simple as measuring the clock speed anymore. Check Gizmodo (d0t) com. They had an article that helped me with this.

(Not an ad, I just thought it'd be helpful.)

  • and a mac mini

  • You forgot to tell us about the new SD Card Slot thats been added on the new iMac thats right under the Super Drive Slot.

  • Ooops, missed that. Thanks for the update.

  • The battery of the old remote was replaceable.

There's a little hole on the bottom of it, stick a 3.5mm headphone jack into it, and it'll slide out.

  • Can you input your ps3 on the display with an adapter??

  • NO!

  • The old apple remote battery could be replaced by pushing the little button on the bottom to release the battery compartment.

Also great vid and i really want a 27inch imac!!!

  • nice video. but seriously dont bother with the remote. its not worth upgrading because of ergonomic changes, and also no one gives a shit about a stupid computer remote

  • can you play xbox 360/ps3 on the new imac?

  • sucks how Macs are still using really old processors

  • i5 have been released not so long ago

  • Dave, I think the Mac Pro Desktop has the option of 8 core (2 X 4 core processors), which is the most ideal for video editing, if so.

  • Mac Pro will still perform better IMO. Though for most the new Quad Core iMac will be blindingly fast at video processing. That would be where my money would go.

  • LIke the intro!

I'm glad they didn't update the mini *too much* as I just bought the previous model!!!

Although the server version is interesting. But it's now far too expensive for what it is.

Still no mid-range mini tower though. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting.

  • Oh how that mid-range mini tower would be so brilliant. They would fly off the shelves.

  • I'm a long time mac user and while the current line up has been a big success for Apple, the range is far more limited than it used to be. They peg you into either a 'consumer' camp (iMac), 'switcher' camp (mini) or 'pro' camp (Pro). There is no-mid range option with flexibility.

  • nice vedio should give u 10/5 =]

  • The old Apple Remote had an accessible battery compartment as well. I'm just stating this because I thought that you might not know that. Thanks for the video!

  • £55 for a mouse with no buttons i dont think so

  • This is a definite buy for me.

  • ITS AN IPOD WITH NO SCREEN

  • Apple really need to sort out their Mac pricing. All other companies lower the prices of their products while Apple just slightly update their products and keep the same price or even worse, increase it! I would love a Mac mini but it is just too expensive for what it is. :-( I don't actually have a problem with iPod pricing though, as I have owned 3 over 5 years.

  • I know. Apple just swap the $ for a £. They've always charged a premium. Still at least they use reasonably standard components now. Back in the 90s, the only people selling macs and mac kit were 'authorised' resellers (aka ripoff merchants). I remember paying nearly £100 for a 2x speed SCSI CD-ROM in 2000 and the same for a 1995 HPV card for a PowerMac 8100 - in 2003!

OSX is still the best OS out there but Windows and Linux are gaining fast.

  • Great video, as always! Hello from the USA!

  • New imac`s look great shame no blu-ray been added

  • very nice, detailed descriptions of the new products!

So, are you going to be purchasing any of the new products? If so, which ones?

  • Thanks for the comment. I will be picking up a Magic Mouse next week. Hopefully borrowing the MacBook from Apple. The iMac review will follow later in the year.

  • sweet

  • Thanks for giving us some info on this subject!

  • I like the square looking macbooks better than the new one :(

  • It's all amazing, especially for being so quiet an update.

    The new iMacs are incredible.

  • very nice apple have done a few things more for mac are you buying them

  • I Love apple!

I have a Giveaway on my channel where i am giving away 2 16 GB iPod touch 2nd generation! Check it out!
