I understand this is a popular show, but what alot of ppl dont realize is that not all of those units are actually abandoned. When a renter cannot pay his/her account a lein and late fee is placed on the unit. When that is not paid, the unit is put up for auction. Taken into account that alot of ppl have lost their jobs due to the recession, I cant think of a worse way for a network to make money off of ppls grief. This is just as bad as watchin a show on evicting ppl and foreclosures.

Being a collector of sorts myself,treasures are few and far between. There is no way this could be real and sponteaneous. They would have to have endless video footage with tons of locker duds until they find one of a 100 that has some valuable stuff. Unless the owner of the storage facility goes through the stuff beforehand , replaces the lock he destroyed to get in and gives them (the bottomfeeders of the show) the heads up and gets a cut of the value of the storage unit,.
