  • I love Stuttering Craig, but he's out of his fucking mind if he thinks the reboot is anywhere near the standard of the original.

  • Rocket Knight Adventures should've won this. It was one of my favorite Sega Genesis games. I often got about close to half way through the game. Rocket Knight was okay it could've been better. It doesn't even come close as good as the original.

  • Retro

  • rebot is way better

  • Rocket Knight Adventures should've won this. Stuttering Craig you must've been high when you made this. I did own both games I highly recommend the original any day.

  • oh GOD I loved this game!

  • I can't believe he would pick the reboot over the classic, just because the limitations of the mega drive are present, the gameplay is WAY better than any game made today, I'm sorry Craig but I greatly disagree with your decision this time.

  • I'm sorry, but as crappy as the sound was on the Mega Drive, the Mega Drive soundtrack was still kick ass, far better than the reboot. The tunes aren't half as remember-able in the reboot... I wish I could agree with you Craig, I really do... But all I hear is a soundtrack that's trying to be too serious...

  • WTF crossxfuse is a Nintendo FanBoy and Craig just likes new shit. I love ya Craig but your Wrong!!

  • @RoboCop720 Craig is totally a retro gamer.

  • @prohpetsong The reboot was garbage. The retro versions is about a thousand times better. I am not a reetro gamer but even I know this. Shit!

  • @RoboCop720 I am a retro gamer. Even still, it's call an opinion. Deal with it.

  • I like this show because it's informative and helps us decide what game to get and I would like to see more episodes

  • Logic fail

  • Retro retro and ... RETROOOOOOOO.

  • ill take the Retro. and didnot care for sparkster.

  • Hard mode on the retro = get hit once and die

  • The Retro was way better

  • Retro way better then reboot sorry craig but your wrong

  • HVGN would disagree with you on that.

  • Gotta disagree. The retro game had much better variety of levels. More fun

  • weird i never heard of this game back in the days :/

  • i saw it on xbox marketplace i am going to download it

  • Very surprised by the outcome. I'll take the retro if I ever get around to getting a genesis somewhere in ebay or something.

  • i subscribed to egoraptor for sequelitis

we all know where screw attack got that from :D

  • product placement?

  • You guys must be crazy. You didn't have this game on Sega Genesis.. I remember when I first got this game like it was yesterday. I have beat the Sega version at least 50 times. I don't even consider Rocket Knight on PS3 to be a sequel to Rocket Knight on Sega Genesis but Rocket Knight on PS3 is more of a Sequel to Sparkster which was by far inferior to Rocket Knight on Sega so yeah... I know my shit and this is one of my favorite Sega games of all time.. Rocket Knight on SG for life no brainier.

  • The Retro no doubt still have the game!!

  • Wow, I used to love this game and never knew they did a reboot version, that's wasup

  • I vote Rocket Knight in the next Death Battle in all out brawl between Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel, Acro, the AcroBAT, and Bubsy!

  • I'll take both please!

  • Reboot since I've played all the others.

  • im still a big fan of the original game so yea ima go retro here but hey lets all be happy they even revived this series! Who knows they may make a part 2 that will be all the original was and more instead of just name and sound...

  • totally disagree, i play the original sooo many times a year. But still love u screwattack :D

  • Genesis crappy sound prosseser? Ever listen to Tides of time, Splatterhouse 2 and 3, Sonic 1 2 3 and knuckes, and phantasy star 4's soundtracks?

  • @Eatmyassproductions And screw this new crap, retro all the way.

  • @Eatmyassproductions Yeah, he did, and you would know that if you were at all familiar with Screwattack. With the genesis being released two years before the SNES, it inherently had inferior hardware to the SNES just because of it's earlier release, even back then.

  • @prohpetsong So? The games all have a fantastic soundtrack. Sure its not at the quality of the snes but its still great. He did? Hmm. Well i only watch their stuff on hear since their website is freaking laggy as all hell, and takes a long time to load a single movie will all the adds.

  • theres no way any one should buy the remake over the original! this video was full of shit the original was on of the best platformers ever

  • Well thanks capcom for spitting in your fans faces god luck get any of my money

  • Reboot

  • now i might download this

  • the only thing that pissed me off about the reboot, is they took out the incredible boss music of the original. anyone who hasnt heard that boss theme has to look it up!

  • retro

  • Retro , because of HVGN

  • I prefer the retro, but at the same time the reboot is good as well so I would say evens as both games are good in there own right.

  • please tell me this is also on SNES

  • @Arcademan09 only the sequel

  • reboot, it reminds me of classic ps2 games

  • really for an old school gamer you'd choose the reboot over the orginal?

  • @BeWrong666 Just because you're a retro gamer does not mean you should ignore obvious improvements.

  • neither. Sparkster for SNES.

  • @crossxfuse sparkster sucks compared to the mega drive original

  • I pick both.

  • You know, gameplay involves more than just how much "new stuff" you can do. It also involves how well the levels play off what you have and how well it controls. If you included these, the Genesis version beats the hell out of the remake (which plays like every level is an ice stage.)

  • Sorry, but I'd take the retro. Just looks more fun.

  • I haven't played the retro so it's reboot for me.

  • Unfortunately Konami is not selling Rocket Knight on Steam in my region for some reason. I guess they don't want my money.

  • I prefer to have The Retro =3

The original is sooooo much More Charming Just my personal opinion :)

  • Mega fail choosing the reboots music. Rocket Knight Adventures did not suffer at all from the genesis. just lke the sonic games it produced some beutiful music that somehow didnt sound crappy qualitywise. Seems like only some devs knew how to do it.

  • Something I would love to see, and it's a personal choice, somewhere along the line, I wanna see a Reboot or Retro for the Pokemon Red Version on both the first and third generation.

  • The game on Sega was way better.

  • To be honest, I like the original better. Now realize that I didn't play the original as a kid, so i'm not being a fanboy or anything.

Its just that the original felt like it was more innovative for it's time. While the newer version, while its 3D and all, but the graphics really look like they could've been done better. The presentation style for the newer game feels so "lazy." While the older version feels like the developers really used the best Sega's hardware.

  • Sparksters coming back!! YES!!! I knew SEGA couldn't live on Sonic alone forever!

  • @mdizzle999872 Rocket Knight Adventures is a Konami game. But if you're looking for good non-Sonic games by SEGA, check out the Yakuza games Bayonetta, Madworld, Valkyria Chronicles, and most recently Shinobi on the 3DS.

  • I fully loved this game on sega

  • Please we need more of these

  • Plese more reboot vs retro

  • I like pixels, so i'd go classic!

  • This should've been no contest Rocket Knight Adventures wins. Stuttering Craig a lot of times you're trying to be funny you are. I felt this was a bad tempt at it I'm sorry.

  • @OmegaJackRed666 Craig wasn't trying to be funny, he was showing how the original game compared it's reboot. Furthermore, this was released a while back last year and for the longest time wasn't on YouTube due to copyright issues.

  • @EdgeShed5853 I understand that I thought Rocket Knight was okay.

  • Im perfectly happy with my sega genesis version, cause its a lot better

  • Nice to be introduced to this vid series, I'm not into your whole new/old cluttered website.

  • This was originally posted on my birthday...also the day the world was suppose to end. lol :)

  • ahhhhhhh If only the reboot had bigger sprites

  • Never heard of it, but it seems like a good buy.

  • i have the new one

  • I'll get it if it also support with the PS VITA.

  • Oh wow, thanks for bringing this to my attention, I love the Rocket Knight series, been hoping for ages that a new game for the series (even for 3DS) would surface. :) Downloading of Steam now.

  • Old, but gold

  • Need more Sparkster... that guy is awesome on so many levels

  • I own the original and have played the demo of the reboot. Once I get another PSN card, I'm totally buying it, it handles really well, and I can tell I'm really gonna love it.

  • Yeah. Would no way agree. Just my opinion. I pick original Rocket Knight.

  • The only reason I don't like this video series is the comments. I know it's opinions, but damn, nostalgia takes over quick. I liked both, but would rather take the new one too, deal with it.

  • RETRO ARE U FING CRAZY >_>

  • you guys should add the sequel to the vault

  • i love r and r

  • retro for me....

  • Unsubscribed do to lack of DEATHBATTLES

  • @Jarrett2409 they are only on the screwattack website now

  • @TheOmegaRiddler Ohhhhh

  • Man this be stupid

  • Don't listen to these guys get the original version or use a emulator.

  • No mention of Sparkster (Rocket Knight Adventures 2)?

  • @HyperSonicXtreme They sucked when compared to the first one.

  • @111111shredder

His design looked more cooler in the sequel.

  • @HyperSonicXtreme But the sequels still suck in comparison to the first game.

  • Wow, you pick reboot, really?! FAIL, nothing beats the timeless classic, I lost count of how many times I've beat that game 100+ times its so good

  • uhh...it's pretty obvious screwattack "retro"

  • @1xCloudStrifex1 What does that mean? you mean screwattack has an emphasis on retro gaming? yes it does. the question is why where you saying this?

  • @1xCloudStrifex1 there is no personal preference i their reviews, they aren't fanboy, there have been as many reboot wins ar retro's

  • the original had Great music, i love the intro stage theme

  • About time for a R or R

  • @Supermariofan14 this came out last year

  • I've always wanted this game. I gotta try it!

  • Both games are worth it.

Man this video is old I remember the first day it was released.

  • I honestly think difficulty is a huge point for me, so I'd stick with Retro.

  • @ 2:22 R.I.P. GameAttack

  • amazing :D I thought rocket knight had died out...guess what I'm getting ;D~

  • Sopa might kill you for this LOLOLOLOOL

  • I want another battle toads game with the same blistering difficulty as the first to test my gaming skill, yet I don't want them to change it to much yet surprise me with what they can do.... it's hard to please the modern gamer, not really just look at how many people bought MW3

  • 301st......

  • @DegorothAmon haha tool

  • last

  • you lie third! Damn!

  • Second probably

  • Uploaded on yt, nice :D
