  • I'm still waiting for green days induction!

  • 0:41 that was some really effective censoring.

  • people always talk about that "sellout' thing. so sad... sellouts or not, bands like Green Day changed the history of rock n roll in a certain way.

  • heh heh, that's hilarious-- "highschool coming back to haunt you"

  • Oh how I love Iggy!

  • guys baked

  • Green Day arn't really punk. But more Punk Alternative. It's like Punk attitude. But with a more alternative music style.

  • Green Day were indeed the best Punk band in the 90's.

They're just as important in music History as The Ramones or The Stooges, i don't care if everyone disagrees with me.

GD's Dookie album defined every 90's kid at that time. And also popularized kids interest in Punk rock at the time.

  • @Rev7xavenged7xSyn You can't just say they are the best punk band in the 90s like I love Green Day and agree dookie is important and great (really great) but there were so many great punk band in the 90s like The Lillingtons and Chixdiggit! its all opinion on which YOU like the best.

  • Billie Joe is how you spell it :p Not Billy.

  • Green day are sell outs but i respect there craft

  • @Hellblazer344 they sold out as punks but are still very important in modern rock

  • OMG WAS THAT A SHIRT HE HAD ON?

Oh ok he took it off.

  • The guy seems so mellow and quiet when he talks, and then you see him perform

  • Loving those Charlie Brown ramblings.

  • WEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL HAHAHA!!!

  • Finally! :)

Billie Joe did a good job :)

  • What the fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Green Day is bullshit! Their are so many other bands to induct them in with! WHy not JACK WHITE! WHY NOT! FUCK THE ROC KN ROLL HALL OF FAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @windrix1

Stfu thats why... Green day wrote 2 songs with Iggy pop and are friends with him... dont try and be a punk rock patriot and say whos better then who.. stop whining

  • i really don't understand why people rip on billie joe...he's extremely talented and so is green day. you can say whatever you want, but they are obviously doing a lot of things right. And I always hear people say "green day isn't punk". Well unless you are braindead, you would realize that green day has never REALLY been punk. They've said themselves that they just play music, and that they've never claimed to be all punk and harcore...they just make good rock music.

  • haha typical Iggy

  • You And Iggiy Are Junkie Niggers!!!

  • finally they put him in

  • It's a about f*ckin time! XD

  • I don't care. Green Day is embarrassing.

  • @secretsocietyart1978 totally embarrasing....a band for kids....my 13 year old sis listening to green day....that's pretty fucking disgusting

  • @theachtungtree your very ignorant. Green day isnt a band for kids. you prob just know American idiot and 21st century breakdown...green day started back in 1987 recorded their first album in 1990, hit the world stage in 1994. have several hits...IN FACT! Green day are number 2 on most number one sigles on the Modern rock charts only behind Red Hot Chili Peppers...educate yourself abit. your 13 year old sister wasn even around when Greenday wrote music, there old music was essential in the 90's

  • @FabDrummer91 like if charts matter, get a life vh1 whore,it doesn't matter, most people bought that fucking cher ep back in 1967, it sold a shit ton...whereas the velvet underground and nico album sold shit but....ummm....what matters now? i don't know....ask that to bands like sonic youth or the whole underground art rock scene...green day gave us blink 182 and my chemical romance....AWESOME (sarcasm) so there i don't care but youre right those last albums are the most shit they recorded

  • @theachtungtree So what? without Green Day i wouldn't be covering Minor threat, ramones, sex pistols, descendents every fucking week trying to bring it to more people.

  • @DarkGuitarKid true...but you're gay, i've discovered the stooges by listening to mudhoney and the ramones by watching eddie vedder playing live with them which is awesome...but you discovered them by hearing green day...green day? seriously? gross

  • @theachtungtree Good for you then. point of the matter is i discovered them through Green Day and without them punk would probably be dead. In my suburbs a lot of the hardcore punk acts, and i said hardcore punk acts, discovered em through green day too.

  • @DarkGuitarKid my condolences, green day sucks monkey balls....sad that you discovered the stooges with them :P now i feel bad for you :/

  • @theachtungtree Ahh you're a little kid, i get it.

  • @DarkGuitarKid yeah...a "kid" who discovered the stooges by DEFINETELY not listening to a band worshipped by 12 year old mtv whores whom taste in music equals the most lower taste in music, i've talked to people who got influenced to play cause they were into John Coltrane or The Who...but green day? God, you're lost.

  • @theachtungtree Here's the thing. you might not be a kid, but you act like a kid trying to have a fight that this or that that he listens to is the best. Using words like "monkey balls", come on? . Most people that have good taste in music or actually play music do not act like you. They do not act like litle bitter kids trying to boast the music they listened to. The dead kennedys liked green day, the ramones liked green day.

While you, act like your a fucking nazi police of music. "Punk"indeed

  • @DarkGuitarKid the ramones were'nt influenced to make music cause of shit bands, they were influenced by GOOD bands like the velvets, the stones, zeppelin &.the detroit scene....not the same case that those legends like new bands, dylan saying that my chemical romance are good DOESN'T make em a great band, the thing is about discovering the real good stuff that influences you...green day seems like a totally embarassing band to even mention,i do not care if the awesome AWESOME kennedys like em

  • @theachtungtree Whatever you say man. I realised I should stop talking to you "elitist punk"

  • @theachtungtree I can tel you something though. Ramones were influenced by awesome bands, but Ramones made simple 3 chord songs.

Green day were also inspired by even greater bands when punk was still alive, and they too made 3 chord songs. Its only during the 2000s that they decided to make less raw but more talented songs that have more than 3 chords.

  • @DarkGuitarKid well at the end it doesn't matter if a 3 chord song is better or worse than a 6 string guitar melody, in my case i can't even stand GD doing more "talented songs" beyond their old formula cause when they do that it just sounds like an avril lavigne song (wake me up when september ends) i just cant conceive them as a talented band now cause when they knew that "warning" failed all of the sudden they switched to chemical romance mode with fancier expensive vids & the money came

  • @theachtungtree And in the End you don't realize that you're the kind of person that Billie would say "Fuck You" too. He doesn't care that he's not being "all-out" Punk, he's writing and playing the songs the way He, Mike and Tre want too and he doesn't give a fuck if thiers people who don't like it.

  • @xPo1S0nXs0DaX haha...i could care less about billie joes opinion...PLUS theyre not reinventing the wheel either, and on top of that they do sound like fucking avril lavigne

  • About fucking time the Stooges got in.

  • "And it's about f*in time time, THE STOOGES!" GO BILLIE JOE AND THE STOOGES!!

  • Comment removed

  • Iggy is good friends with billie joe. They've recorded songs together and the stooges were a huge influence on green day.

  • "if you kids wanna hear what true punk is blah blah blah"

green day is my favorite band but I also listen to Sex Pistols and other punk bands so stfu!!! god

  • @xxMCRvenomxx green day is shit now. after dookie it went all down hill. idk how they r even considered punk now. i agree with u on the sex pistols however. one of my favorites.

  • i think david bowie should have been the one inducting the stooges in to the hall. bowie helped iggy soo much in the 70's getting him attention to record companies and tons of fans. just my opinion.

  • totally agree. Bowie is a big Iggy fan!

  • LOL

  • good for the stooges and iggy. punk should be recognized in the rock and roll hall of fame. i mean iggy said it himself, they were a rock n roll band, he just took it to the extreme. they were punk before it was even called punk. fuck, he made punk and so many bands were influenced by them. anyway, i'm glad they finally made it in.

  • shut up troll. why the hell did you take time out of your world of warcraft conquest of the world to come troll this? your shitty little gay nerd frineds probably need your help to slay some dragon bitches or some shit. go die of...BAD HEALTH !

  • @NHLuongo

now wut part of that sentence did you find

that i play world of warcraft. you make the

    dumbest fucking assumptions. and since

i see your defending this 21st century

bs i can tell you wouldn't know punk if it

    punched you in the face.

  • actually punk hitting me in the face would be pretty punk of punk to do. i think i would know how punk punk was being if it hit me in the face.

  • @NHLuongo alright i'll admit that was fuckin hillarious, lol

  • billie's so hot there!

  • @greendayPRiNCEZ yessss! he is!

  • Iggy: Bigger, Boffer, Better, Badder than ever! God bless Iggy Pop and The Stoooooooooges (and Ron Ashton - RIP)

  • Mike Watt is my homeboy.

  • I completely agree with secretsocietyart1978.

  • If those fuckers had of inducted them two years ago Ron would have been up there with them!

  • Any idea who the woman in the gold dress might be?

  • It's ABBA, as in Abacab, not Ahbah, dear.

    You go Iggy.

  • Ya why did she say it like Ahbah? It's ABBA

  • Never too old to take your shirt off. The world is for everyone. Embrace life and live it to the fullest.

  • I love the stooges. I think it's a mockery to have Billie Joe Armstrong even introducing them!

  • Well the two have collaborated, Armstrong wrote and provided guitar and backup vocals on Iggy's Skull Ring album. Plus Green Day have clearly been influenced by and have great respect for the Stooges.

Pretty sure Iggy was happy with him doing the job!

  • Well the two have collaborated, Armstrong wrote and provided guitar and backup vocals on two songs on Iggy's Skull Ring album. Plus Green Day have clearly been influenced by and have great respect for the Stooges.

There's mutual respect there and I'm pretty sure Iggy was more than happy with him doing the job.

  • @hermionexxx words from the great Mark Arm: "i don't even want to mention skull ring....just won't, i dont want to get on that issue"...the album sucked monkey ass, and billie made it worse haha..

  • About Time !!!

  • 63 years old! That dude is in great shape!!!!

  • Jimmy!!!!!

  • Anybody know where to find the whole show?? avi file or the like???

  • Face it kids: Iggy looks better shirtless at 62 than most of today's overweight American teenagers.

Face this, old punkers: Billy Joe - whether you like his band or not - is a winner (even though the Ramones, Buzzcocks, Buys and Undertones did do it better back in the day).

  • @petercrowley41 Word me brother

  • @petercrowley41 hell yeah!

  • @petercrowley41 you realize iggy was fat when he graduated high school, right? he's said so a lot of times in interviews. it was the drugs that got him in shape, ironically. so if youre endorsing his route to it, id think twice before you get more dogarn meddling kids running havoc around your retirement home, mister :) you do have a point though, hes in good shape for his age

  • @petercrowley41 BILLIE Joe.

  • @GDookie16 - Thanks for the punkie spell check!

  • IGGY ! ! !

  • I LOVE THIS!!! <3

  • rip ron asheton

  • It's his signature. Before the hair metal bands had make-up, Iggy had the shirtless image.

  • If you look that good when you are 63 you can damn well take your shirt off when ever you want!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • meh...I'm sure he looks better than you do without a shirt......
