dude i sat another hour..thought maybe i ll upgrade back again..but couldnt get the screen up for tht second whn its in that upgrading menu...so failed at tht..tried the 2.71 upgrade freom 1.5....followed another youtube video...pressed all the right buttons with the screen blank..bang it was back up and running perfectly on 2.71..now i m contemplating goin back to 1.5..and yes i ll never do tht restore settings again...any ways...thanks a lot dude...lol..i almost lost $200 and got thm back..

also the memory stick is detected....so the only thing that seems messed up is this sleep mode functionality..

dude...one thing i m noticing..i think the sleep mode function is reversed..whn i press a button screen goes blank..when i leave the psp untouched...it shows up the screen exactly at the time whn its suppose to goto sleep mode.

dude i downgraded it correctly to 1.50 but whn i did the restore to default settings....it restarts and shows a blank screen..psp is started as i can hear the click sounds when i navigate right left...also if i play around with the power switch it shows up the screen for a less than a second and goes blank..i can see the menu whn it shows the screen for that flash second..but then goes blank again...the usb mode also works but am not sure if psp recognizes the memory its 2gb..

Have you ran "Chilly Willy's" KeyCleaner to see what KEYS (may) have been corrupted while downgrading with the Lumines? Just wondering....because some corrupted KEYS make it difficult to upgrade past 3.71 M33 (chilly keycleaner MIGHT be able to clean the keys)

You need a pandora battery and a magic memory to downgrade a PSP. If you do not have any relatives that have a homebrew enabled PSP, just buy a Pandora Kit from finchmall com and save all that hassel.

'Tis interesting to see this. It doesn't work on a slim psp though, right? I read you have to have a fat psp and the extra battery etc - yet you didn't have any of that, so I assume you have a large psp. Either way it's interesting (and useful) to see it done.

lol you dont downgrade to 3.40oe. You need to find the 3.50 downgrade package and then copy the contents to the psp folder and play lumines then let it do what it needs to do and you should be at v1.50 then find 3.40oe and upgrade to that.

i downgraded to 1.5 the upgraded to 3.52 m33. which is great. BUT. imma get another PSP to test out 3.40 OE-A and figure out which one is better, because alot of the IR programs dont work with m33, and 3.40 suppoedly has a better POPS emulator.

i downgraded my 3.51 PSP useing GTA vice city stories just get 1.50 update and put a zip folder called update the by 1.50 updat download a file called rami it should be a RAR put it side the update folder and run the update it should be called gbl.dlc

BTW a critical bit missed in this tutorial was checking that:

When you come to the part of loading the Lumines disk and when you click start it reboots and then your back onto your menu's before you go to the downgrader. Go to settings then system info make sure your System Software is reading 3.50 HEN. if it isn't DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER. IF YOU DO YOU BRICK YOUR PSP!
