@GooFuckyourself - July is the middle of their winter season. It is chilly but not too bad. Best to check on line with NZ Meteorlogical Service for an idea, climate wise on what to expect in Kiwi that time of year. Of course the further south you go, the colder the days get. Ski season will be in full swing by then. There are three ski hills on the North Island, all on Mt Ruphu. Have a great trip. Cheers!

what date was this actually taken? looks like an early morning landing & i get the impression this was from either LAX, SFO, or HKG, originating in LHR maybe?

Gud'day Darrell, yes it was a 5am landing and we were landing from the trans Pacific flight from SFO. We were enroute to Melbourne and the start of our aerial tour of the Aussie Outback by light aircraft.
