80´s sounds were not necessarily based on immediate reality. Besides love as an ideal, they used as well far places in which technologically advanced societies suffered from dehumanization. With Metropolis and Alphaville Fritz Lang and Jean Luc Godard seeded visually a dark future. Early electro-pop bands found inspiration in this noir genre originating a unique bettersweet gothic sound. For my money, something unrepeatable in years to come.
@huntingcrop In my opinion Some "people" with a lot of money build their way and start to "create" and collecting people from their Likes and promote them as "Most Awesome in the World" :/
And these past true style and voices getting underground from the charts :/
hey gothkid shake your molecules to your mom and tell her germaine says hello. i have been held hostage ina family in chicago for the last 14 years, i play mom and wife and worker and housekeeper until my molecules break
If anyone wants to buy the aforementioned compilation, just google "French New Wave." It's a great compilation, many of the bands/songs are on youtube already, so you can sample them from the CD song list.
me encanto esta rola, muy buena, es una de las mejhores que he escuchado hasta hoy en lo que 80s se refiere, ahi mero no daditos negros compartela. desde Tijuas te envio un saludo.
Dear gothkid, thanks for shearing this information with all of us who love the MS from 1984. We hope to find the three songs on CD one day. You say "Shake" is on a compil ? Could you tell which one ? You also say that your mom did other music, maybe they are on vinyls ?? Thanks for any further comment.
Surely one of the best synth songs ever made. So nicely arranged. The break at 2.14 is so beautiful. It's a real shame they didn't release more than the one 7/12".
The more I shake, the less I break.

Thanks for posting, dados. I had this track for years but did not know the band. There's more on youtube, but it's not postpunk.
