This is actually down-pitched. So there's a high-pitched, down-pitched, and normally-pitched version of the SNES Fei Long's stage theme on YouTube. X_X
I don't normally prefer the SNES versions (New Challengers or WW/Turbo) over the arcade versions. However, I have one exception, and it's Fei Long's. :D
it is possibly a difference between PAL and US versions since their stage themes sound quite different. this is the PAL version. technically, this is pulled straight out of the ROM with perfect sound quality, so there can't be anything wrong with it.
Finally!! Oh my days mad props man, I've been getting so pissed off with everyone uploading these bogus high pitched versions of Fei Long's Super Nintendo theme. I was tempted to rip it out and post it myself, even though my subs would've flamed me like fuck, as they largely consist of MK fanboys.
5/5, my only complaint is that it's a little short.
didn't know, thanks. i don't plan to upload another version, but i'll let you know how to do it:
- download the SPC music files from snesmusic
- play them with SPCplay, optionally save to wav
speaking of this, i remember there was 2 versions of each stage theme, but i just took the one i was more familiar with. the other one had to be the US version, then.
@prettiT12 Link doesn't work. I'm British but owned the USA version. This video sounds exactly the same to me as the US version. I will try and find the other versions.
@ojideagu type in fei long snes american and it should be the first one there. The difference is the american version is pitched like the arcade versions.
@prettiT12 I see, I hear it now. I do prefer the higher pitch version as the melody sounds better. I think it was pitched down to make the Rhythm guitar stronger.
Thus began a tradition for beat-em-ups to have a Bruce Lee tribute in their rosters.

I was always a big fan of those exotic creatures in the background, at the end of the stage, they'd be all "EEEARRRGH~~!! .....EAAEERRRGHH~!!" Lol.

@CodyRockLee13 I agree this is one of the few SNES themes that is better then the arcade
ojideagu 1 year ago
@CodyRockLee13 I agree 100% Fei Long's is the only theme than the arcade. Although I like the high pitched version most
