sharpie will bleed in the rain. if your making a canvas shoe, a better bet would be to use acrylic paint and a fine brush. :)

- I use "ultra fine point" sharpies.

- I use white canvas shoes. This specific brand is "Dexter", you can get them at almost any shoe store. Look it up on google.

- I doodle a lot and take little pieces of what I doodle to get my ideas for the shoes. :)

if you're looking for white canvas shoes to draw on you should check out TOMS shoes

for every pair of shoes you buy, they give a pair to a child in need in Africa! they have white as well as many other colors too! but for this project, you'll probably need white :)

Yes, I'm using permanent markers. But you should also be sure to spray some sort of sealant on it after you are finished. I wouldn't take my chances in the rain.

If you are using "fine point" sharpie, instead of "ultra fine point" then it would bleed a lot. But ultra fine point barely bleeds at all.
