Sorry to say that the people who criticize this song don't don't have enough knowledge or ability to understand the song. This song is apt to the situation - the Thandava Bhavam in mind depicting the eruption of emotions.

The success of Pramadavanam and Devasabhathalam was in part due to Dasettan's majestic voice. This song is far more challenging than those songs.

Sharath is not a popular MD because common man don't have the ability to comprehend his songs.

While am awed by the talent that Shareth is showcasing here (mandhara staayee aalapanai, shruthi bedham and the permutation of swaras etc), I agree with a lot of fans here - lacking in soul. This song has been created specifically to be sung in competitions (and surely singers of this song will win, if this song is reproduced).

The playback singer for this song got State Award, good but I dont know why the judging panel ignored  the music director who has created such a wonderful and extremely complex song with a high level of commitment.

I think the Award committe is not capable enough to measure the talents like Music director Sarath who according to me is one of the best in the business.

Wow!!! What a fantastic song and demonstrates talent the likes of which is very very difficult to be emulated/found anywhere in this world. Sarath is a genius and the world needs more of such genuine pieces of truly enthralling and awe inspiring music and singing capabilities. As others commented here, what he is showing by singing a complicated song! Song should hv the quality to pierce the minds of listeners.. whether is is simple or complicated! I think he has already set his mind that "He is the best in the world"..Th eentire song is abullsitt one!.. Lot of other promising classical singers are there like Rajkumar bharati, unnikrishnan, hariharan etc.. This sarath cant never come to theri level of standard.. He can retire as a "judge" from Idea star singer !! haha

SARATH came to limelight ONLY when ASIANET brought in IDEA STAR SINGER. He will go back to that `iggy state' again if he continues his music direction the way it is today.!

Not a single song directed by him have seen the popular or hit list! He may be feeling that he is putting more `sangathi' & `kanasakunasa' to show others that he knows a lot about music! Malayalees encourage quality songs & rates SARATH'S songs as randamkida-thesis songs!Hope his songs will be big hit soon.Wish him the best.

I am disappointed to say - I dont find any beauty in this composition. Excessive use of swaras does not make a composition amazing. 'Sruthi Bhedam' should also me good to hear There is nothing wrong in trying to show technical prowess. but the entire song must not be just to do that. Raveendran mash's Devasabhathalam is far less complex, yet infinitely more beautiful! I agree that he is talented. Love 'Neelakaasham', 'Maleyam..', Mindblowing singing in this one. But sadly, thats about it.
