This is small fries compared to C&T. Imagine a tax on everything from Dental instruments to bottled water, From Gas/Diesel to the cooking oil you use to make chicken. How in the hell does healthcare reform, even if you include the mandates on insurers and whatnot, hurt consumer freedom? The public option itself is VOLUNTARY! The only coercion would be the insurance mandate, but that's pretty much kaput now.
