WOW!!!!! Thank you so much bro!!!!!!! I was going crazy!!!!! I downloaded the wrong Cyanogenmod from my computer to my phone and it would just load over and over again. My phone is back to normal thanks to you!!!!
anyone who has every got a boot loop all you have to do is boot into recovery and wipe cache and reboot. I figured this out the day after i "BRICKED" my incredible ( which i don't even have anymore i sold it for 30 dollars because i bought an iphone) ps i love android but iphone jailbroken can do soooo much more found that out when i got my i phone.
@tylershannon can you please help. my phone is stuck in the same loop (incredable) and it wouldent turn off.. So i pulled out the battery and when i try to turn on it vibrates 3 times and nothing shows D: please dont ignore i really need some help
lol its not bricked, that happens to my desire sometimes when i flash cyanogen.^^
just wipe everything (including dalvik) and flash it again. if youre coming from a froyo rom then it may take some time to build up the framework of cyanogen.. :)
dont panic, if it was bricked then it wouldnt show the boot animation..!
hey if you dont mind can you help me fix my htc desire. the same thing happened to me. and i noticed that the security was turned on (s-on). do you know how to turn it to s-off using recovery?

I too was stuck at bootloop at first. Had to reinsert the battery.
It bootloops if your card does NOT have an EXT3 partition. Once you partition it right, it'll work.

nevermind, i'm s-on too.. you'd only need it if you wanted to flash a custom boot table (more internal memory).
the problem with the bootloop can be fixed in minutes.
take out the battery and insert it again -> boot into recovery -> clear cache & user data (full wipe) and dalvik cache -> flash the custom.
