Goodness, I was running 5 days a week for 12 months and I still wasn't ready for something like that. I was training for speed at a short distance though and did that race on a whim. I did it though! I'm a terrible runner and better runners than me quit. It felt soo soo great. Good Luck!
lol...don't worry, I am a poor example. I'm a really poor runner and at the time I was going to a trainer and a nutrisionist and still had high blood pressure, plus I reinjured my knee a few times in there too (I broke it a few years ago). Now that I'm on meds it's much easier to run :) You'll do great. You are fit and enjoy working out. It will be such an awesome feeling when you cross that finish line and it's so worth it just to say you did it.
If only we had some time when we could run together! I would LOVE to run with you. I run that pace. Um...maybe slower. I like to take in the scenery.....
I know you'll be able to do it. There isn't a goal you've set for yourself that you haven't achieved... outside of that whole happy marriage thing. : )..
I was paying attention to you talking the whole time so I didn't notice you driving down Fremont st. :) Good luck on your marathon and training. I really think you can do this. I'm jealous.
you never heard of a shoe camera? put the little sucker under the laces and give us blow-by-blow (or, rather, step-by-step) coverage of your running experience. That wouldn't be hard to watch at all....

andrea i am a runner fill up with fluid ... isotonic and work on flights of steps up and down as much as possible .... this will help you control breathing during the runs and save energy in therms of draining
