i got this ball about two years ago and i was just learning to throw a hook and this ball pulled like crazy it went from one gutter to the other in 3/4 of a lane and the ball soaks up oil like crazy about a year ago i had it put thrue the aven and it had to go through 3 times before all the oil was out of it i wouldnt recomend this ball for anybody new to throwing a hook i now throw the hammer black widow nasty and i shot my first 200 game with on a friday night and then shot a 205 the next day
This ball and all roto grips suck, I've owned 20 of them every single one smashed out at the fingerholes. Please do your homework before buying a ball, I much prefer Track/Brunswick. Storm is Roto Grip so fuck that.
The Roto-Grip Pluto is awsome. I bolwed my first 200 game and my first 500 series with it... but I'm a lefty and thorw a straight hook from the second arrow..
I just got the ball through our ball recycling program out here at Wichita Stat University. I've heard good things about it from the guys on my team. I'll let ya know how i like it
Yes. The only Roto Grip ball i would throw EVER because they all fucking suck and the factory is so cheap the coverstocks won't hold together for a series. Is the cell series, but would much prefer Brunswick/Track. And just for the record Storm is as shitty as roto grip= Same company
I've drilled at least 1 of every Roto Grip ball released in the last 3 years and have yet to have 1 crack out (except for plastics). I've drilled hundreds more for customers and could count the number that have cracked on one hand. If you've had so many problems with them, I would question the competency of the individual drilling them. Make sure that they bevel all holes before installing your inserts.
Also make sure not to drill them too fast, as it can open up the posibility for minor (often not noticable at first) cracking on the press. Also, store your equipment at temperatures that you would be comfortable in (55-75 degress F). These are all things that should help you with your "durability" issues.
Are you really only seeing 2-3 inches of track flare, as the ball is advertised? Also, have you tried the Pluto polished? If so, which do you like better...box condition or polished.
Looking pretty nice! I'm gonna get this ball drilled tomorrow for my hand and finally get to use it, I'm rather excited! :D My older ball is gonna get resurfaced and gonna get drilled new holes there for my other hand.
As with all of your videos, I love this one. I especially like how you use different oil patterns and compare two different balls. Keep up the good work!
