actually, they kicked liiva because his performance wasn't dynamic enough and he couldn't keep up with the rest of the band. if you listen to the aces high cover with liiva, you see that he's often cutting off in the middle of the sentences to inhale, so that kind of held the band back, so they held auditions and they took angela cuz she had the BEST AUDITION (if you say otherwise, you don't know anything), and since she was a female vocalist, the band knew it would make the band more dynamic

I love Arch Enemy and I think angela rocks, but they really shouldn't have tried to fit her vocals over Liiva's. The original was fantastic.

These songs were much darker than the new AE songs, and this high voice doesnt suit simply. Personally i think Athems of the rebellion was their and will be their best album, and still prefer the first 3 cd than the last 3.

Honestly, I like Angela more then johan in this, its just the guitar is more lame in this. But I agree johan was great its just I think angela beat him in this song. I guess shes better in some songs and johan was better in others. (Its just my opinion, I guess majority rules me out since everyone thinks johan is better in this.)

Interesting that they re-did these songs. I like Angela just fine, but there was an amount of energy and desperation in Johan Liiva's voice that I'm missing here. But the good news - they'll definitely be playing more old songs in the upcoming tours!
