Also, I have a little soft spot for this congregation, so I wanted to roast them. We roast the people we love :-) They were being criticized all night long, so I took in a different direction. As much as I wanted the opposition to have a change of heart, I am mostly glad that the Muslims were laughing. They deserved a little fun after all that. We all did! The meeting was hard to take seriously because of all the booing and bad behavior...so...i just didn't take it very seriously :-)

I finally decided to check out the you tube comments :) If Rebeca Black can handle it, then so can I!!! The meeting was 8 hours long and the complaints were getting more and more inane. It did start out somewhat legit (Issues with the flood plane, parking, traffic, etc). But then it turned into , "They are going to steal our pets!" and then simply, "I just don't want a mosque in my town." So I finally just blurted out, 'They're boring!" So I wanted to satirize that.
