This was basically a murder of a weakened, defenseless bull. Even if this man can pick up a truck it doesn't matter. The bull would still pick him up without a problem. Even a cow can do that but none of the bulls he fought was able to.

Awesome videos!!! Oyama is truely amazing!!! There is a video that contains the entire fight seen with the bull along with tons of other footage. The cheapest I found it was on Warrior Videos, but It's worth every dime you pay for it.
being serious oyamawas one of the greatest fighters but he was not one of the greatest masters. because he master the jutsu (thecnic) but his do (philosophy and principles of martial artist) were really poor, i mean a realmaster dont make a show of karate like in min 1:05, or cut a bull horn just for show off
@krissthean Mastering the jutsu itself at that level is not easy at all but it's easier than mastering the principles to the fullest of them.This just shows the way the world changes and how people pay less attention to principles engraved in the style for hundreds of years,than to the material jutsu which they can show off with :)

Oyama was not evil ... that's just stupid. Remember he grew up during WWII and taught a very "hard" form of Karate which concentrated on excessive toughening of hands and so on. He later modified his disciplines and ideals to include the "shin" aspect.

The guy was tough, but I find a lot of the stories about his exploits to be exaggerated.
Take the bull fight in this video:
- the bull is actually quite small for a bull.
- the "bull" had a rope tied to its horns and nose ring, which he clearly relied on to wrestle the creature.
- he supposedly chopped off the horns, yet the footage stops right at the moment of impact, effectively denying confirmation of the deed.
When you break it down, it's not as impressive as people make out.

i have been doing karate kyokushin since i was 5 now i am 15...without knowing it. I always believed that i was doing kung fu since we had diferent kind of clothing (kimono)... But i remember that in my dojo we had a big portrait of this man...i didnt care who it was but now i know it...
